This comfortable space provides guests with opportunities to walk woodland paths, hear the chirping of birds, relax on a deck looking into the forest, and have fun in the nearby small town of Snohomish. Use this space as your transition to the Olympic Peninsula, Cascade Mountains or Canada, The apartment is attached, yet completely separated from the main house by doors locked on both sides and a private entrance accessed via stairs.
The main room includes a kitchen space, dining table, queen-sized bed, TV, desk workspace and reading nook. The small kitchen area includes a convection microwave oven, two-burner hot plate, toaster, small refrigerator and many cooking utensils. Guests are invited to explore marked paths on the property in the forest behind the house: relax as you listen to birdsong and walk through dappled sunlight below towering cedars and maples. Discover seasonal variations in nature: bleeding hearts in spring, waving ferns in summer, sprouting mushrooms in fall, and sometimes sparkling snow in winter.
Guests are not permitted to walk down the hill to the creek; it is a protected area.
The hosts speak French, Spanish, Dutch and Chinese.
Please note that there is a hill just before you reach our driveway. If you are staying with us during the winter, and conditions become snowy or icy, you may need four wheel drive, snow tires or chains to get up and down the hill. These weather conditions do not occur every winter, and they do not occur often in any given winter, but they do happen. If you make a reservation, and decide to cancel because of snow or ice conditions, I will refund your full payment even if the cancellation occurs less than a week before your arrival date.
