We are two adults, and we were looking for ski-in ski-out at a reasonable price (for Whistler). This was perfect for us. The unit was more spacious that we had expected from the photos - yes, it's small, but we've stayed in smaller. The furniture was comfortable - including the bed - and seemed new or nearly-new. Wifi was reliable and strong; TV cable (basic) worked just fine. All kitchen ware, including flatware, tableware, and cookware, was new or nearly new, in great shape, and plenty of it. Great appliances as well. Sparkling clean.
Having a top-floor unit was great as we didn't have early-morning ski boots clomping overhead. We did hear noises from the hallway but overall it was a quiet place.
The ski valet guys were GREAT as were the ski rental team - I had to rent boots for one day before getting new liners for mine, and they were efficient and accommodating.
I thought the listing was misleading in one aspect - it lists amenities as including washing machine, but that is for the paid laundry downstairs.
Check-in went perfectly, we had all the right info, and though parking is $17/day, it was convenient to have it right there.
We'd have liked a space for putting boots on & hanging coats to dry; there is a closet but no bench; we were putting boots on & off in the carpeted area and I bet that will wear in the end.
All in all a great stay and we'd go there again. Location is convenient to the village and it truly is ski-in ski-out. We didn't use the hot tubs - they were often crowded - or the pool; too exhausted!
If you're looking for the latest decor (granite counters) this is not it, but it's in great shape and is great value. The public areas at the Aspens have clearly been well-tended as well.
