About the host
Hosted by Stacey Thorne
I am was born and raised in Chicago. I love the Chicago area. I love to promote the vibrancy of the city to all visitors.
I am a former teacher. I was very passionate about teaching science to the littles. As a former K–5 science teacher, I’ve always loved building systems that help people thrive. Now, I bring that same mindset to hosting—designing clean, welcoming homes where families and groups can relax and reconnect. Every space is curated with care: coffee bars, game and music rooms, cornhole, a fire pit, and even karaoke—because your time together should feel effortless, joyful, and full of little moments that matter.

Why they chose this property
You’re walking distance from Salt Creek and its forest preserve — oak savannas, ravine paths, easy canoe or kayak access in summer. Brookfield Zoo is the neighborhood’s pride. A huge, wildlife‑packed attraction where families explore tropical rainforests, dolphin shows. Just a few blocks away is Galloping Ghost Arcade, the largest classic arcade in the U.S. with over 1,000 games .
What makes this property unique
Our property is ready for gatherings and memories. The spaces are designed for spending time with family. But also nooks to steal away with a good book to recharge your own battery. I have tried to create a home where families and friends can truly reconnect. I know how precious that time is, so I’ve stocked each stay with cozy comforts and built-in fun: coffee bars for slow mornings, a game room and music room for all-ages play, karaoke for laugh-out-loud nights, and a backyard fire pit and corn hole for making memories under the stars.
