THE COMMUNITY
CB South is a small community just south of the town of Crested Butte/Mt. CB. We have local amenities like a restaurant, coffee shop, liquor store, general store, a full gym, salon, and the brand new Zuni West Brewery. We're also only 15 minutes from Almont with famous fishing & white water rafting. And Gunnison is 25 minutes south of us with a ton of activities like their white water park, rock climbing, mountain biking & shopping (boutiques as well as Walmart & City Market).
Guest access
Guests have full access to the home and backyard amenities. Please note, the garage is partitioned & not for parking, but you're welcome to use the accessible part to store your bikes, skis & other toys. The garage also holds the duplex's shared trash & recycling.
Parking
• Easily park 3 cars (or 4 cars if you don’t mind blocking one in).
• EV Charging is available at the park, 1 minute away
• If you have a camper or trailer(s) please let us know the dimensions so we can be sure it’ll fit comfortably
Backyard
- please be mindful that there is a drop off between the upper back yard and the lower back yard. If you have any concerns about your little ones, we can install a boundary net before your arrival.
- the lower backyard is currently undergoing some landscaping work throughout the summer with additional stairs being installed. This does not affect the upper backyard.
- the neighboring side of the duplex has a trampoline. You or your little ones may use it if you sign a release waiver ahead of time to ensure everyone's safety.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Our home is designed with families and groups in mind, offering ample space and amenities for all ages. If you're a solo or business traveler, you'll have beyond enough space.
We kindly ask guests to remove their shoes to ensure the longevity of our new carpet and hardwood floors.
Safety is a priority; if you have young children, we can install a boundary net in the backyard upon request.
We have Dark Skies regulations to ensure everyone has spectacular views of the stars, so please remember to turn off outdoor lights when not in use.
Please let us know if you plan to use the primary bedroom's gas fireplace -- the pilot light heats up the room, so we normally keep it turned off, but happy to have it ready to go when you arrive.
We have in-floor radiant heat which can take several hours to reach your desired temperature. Feel free to let us know your ideal temp & we can set it ahead of time for you!
It can get dicey when it's icy! If you are booking in the winter months, it's highly recommended that you have 4-wheel drive or at least snow tires since our home is halfway up a hill.
Cell service in our area of the mountains can be very spotty. We recommend using Wifi calling while connected to the home's wifi (we have an advanced mesh Wifi network).
We have no cameras on the property so if you need anything just call, text, or knock next door!

About the host
Hosted by Gregg

"Nothing ventured, nothing gained" is my motto—and it's taken me to nearly 60 countries (and into a few wild film shoots, too). My wife, 2 kids, and I now live next door in this mountain paradise after swapping Los Angeles traffic for ski boots in 2020. We’re here if you need anything—tips, trail recs, trading stories, or just a friendly neighbor wave. Happy to help you make the most of your Crested Butte adventure!
