About this property

Charming & cozy house. Great location in town with relaxing patio and hot tub.

Our house has recently been completely remodeled and re-decorated top to bottom. New kitchen, new appliances, new bathrooms (marble and tile), new furniture, new stone fireplace, big flat screen TVs in the front and back living rooms, new washer/dryer, new in-floor heat, new carpet. All bedrooms have deluxe bedding, down comforters and luxurious linens changed every season …… It is amazing! Check out the photographs and as seen in 303 Magazine and Peak Magazine.

Our house is in the heart of historic Crested Butte, (a block from the bus stop and a block from Elk Avenue). It is situated on the sunny and quiet side of the street, providing a perfect place to stay for one or more families any time of year. With two separate living areas, the house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and feel at home. But despite all the room, it still has a cozy feel.

In winter you can relax by the fireplace or in the private back-yard hot tub. In spring, summer, and fall you can lounge and cook outside on one of two sunny and private south-facing back decks (upper and lower) or on the friendly front porch. We've found it to be an ideal vacation home in any season.

Skiers and hikers will find the front entry/storage room to be a convenient place to stow all your gear. In addition to high-speed internet, there is of course a full laundry room.

As mentioned, the house is only a block from Elk Avenue (Crested Butte's main street), so it's just a short walk to most of Crested Butte's great restaurants -- and close to all the shopping and just a block to the Old Town Hall bus stop where a free shuttle leaves every 15 minutes for the quick 3-mile trip up to the ski area at Mt. Crested Butte.

We love the place and it shows! We are constantly updating and improving the house ...... and we know you will put this at the very top of your list of favorite homes to stay in! It is a rare find.

The house is managed by a full time caretaker and we as owners are diligent about keeping the place at the high standard of cleanliness and order you would expect. We have a group of professional cleaners who keep the place immaculate.

A reservation is not complete without payment of this additional tax or a signed copy of the Lease being on file with the owner.

Another great stay

We enjoyed another exceptional stay at this cabin. The cabin itself is a timber-frame construction, exquisitely deigned interior, with attention to every detail. The location can’t be beat, with a 1-2 block walk to restaurants, shops, and the main shuttle stop.

We had the best stay at this property. There is room for two families. It has two living areas and was also conveniently located to town. The house had a nice back yard with hot tub and a cozy kitchen. We had a great time!!

Lovely Downtown CB Property

Everything was as shown on the VRBO listing. Just one block off Elk Avenue, making it very easy to enjoy the town. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck in the mornings. Nice home with well supplied kitchen and comfortable beds.

Clean and newly decorated Cabin very close to Elk Avenue. My family enjoyed staying there very much! A bit dark but super cozy. We would definitely stay again! The hot tub and patio was a real plus! Thank you!

Friends Ski Trip

We had a great stay! Awesome updated cabin in a perfect location! Listing is as described. Would highly recommend staying here for easy walkable access to all the restaurants and shops and shuttle to the mountain for skiing. Would love to come back again.

Fabulous Visit to Crested Butte

Great location! Loved the home - very comfortable. Mud room area perfect for leaving snowy boots, coats and gloves. Basic items all supplied. Comfortable beds with nice sheets and linens. Nice hot tub right outside the back door. Very convenient to downtown and shuttle bus to the slopes. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

Crested Butte Fam Trip

My wife and I brought our three boys out for four nights to go snowboarding. We found the house to be perfect for what we needed, very clean and recently updated. The two living areas were a bonus for our group. It’s also really close to Elk Avenue in anything else we needed. Would love to come back and visit another time.

Property was clean, tidy and as pictured in listing. Convenient to Elk St (just a block away) and all the shops in Crested Butte. This proved to be an ideal location for our Mt Bike riding outings. I'd recommend this place to friends and stay again myself. Can't think of a better recommendation.

Perfect location for a summer mountain vacation

Charming, comfortable house with a beautiful yard just minutes from Elk Avenue. The location could not have been better, truly. Close to all of the action, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Kids loved being able to walk to dinner, shops, ice cream, etc. And of course the area around Crested Butte is paradise for kids in summer — horseback riding, white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking, stand up paddle boarding on one of the many gorgeous lakes.

Lovely cabin!

The cabin is very nicely designed and well appointed. We had 4 adults. 1 couple and 2 singles. Perfect size for us, (we only used 3 of the 4 bedrooms). The location is right around the corner from the mountain shuttle and Main Street! Everything was great. Thanks!

Awesome Crested Butte Property

Four of us stayed at this awesome house with amazing fenced in backyard. Beautiful backyards are hard to come by in Crested Butte as property is scarce and includes a hot tub which was needed each day before and after biking. Right in town walking distance to just about wherever you need to go but of course we are in Crested Butte and take our bikes everywhere. Perdita, the owner, is great and available as needed including her manager Meg. It was an incredible experience and recommended for groups of friends and families. Thank you!

Perfect mountain vacation with family

We had the absolute best time in this cozy Crested Butte home. We had three generations in the home and it was the perfect set-up, with grandma and grandpa in their own master suite and living area separate from the parents and the kiddos in the main/original part of the home upstairs. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect space. The kitchen was updated and perfect for cooking all our meals, and the home had absolutely every amenity we could ask for. The hot tub was so wonderful after a day on the slopes, and the location was perfection - just steps away from the free shuttle up to Mt. Crested Butte. Perdita was an incredibly gracious and responsive host - even dropping off a personal appliance to ensure Grandma could bake with everything she needed with her granddaughter one day! Truly - we couldn't have asked for a better home for our stay in Crested Butte. We absolutely plan to come back!

Strong argument for never buying a vacation home.

Property is better in person. If I had to guess the owners put the effort and attention to detail into the renovation of this property as they have no intention of it ever leaving their family. The cabin is fantastic, and the layout is very comfortable and inviting. Really an heirloom property, and to enjoy it for a week was worth the cost . We were a family of four, my wife and I were in the master down with the in-suite bath. The queen bedroom upstairs with then in-suite bath could have easily held another couple, with other two bedrooms upstairs for kids (one queen and two twin beds) using the other bathroom upstairs. Additionally, there is another full bathroom downstairs adjacent the kitchen. Residence was quiet, hot tub was great, and the second floor deck a great place to relax. Front fireplace room with TV, and rear TV room can separate the kiddos from the parents. Elk street was a block away, and it was a great opportunity to let the kids free-range in the City. We will be back....

Perfect Crested Butte Location

Terrific location for walking anywhere in Crested Butte as well as catching the town bus to Mt. Crested Butte. Family walked to restaurants, shops, movie theater and…it was very easy (2 minute walk) to the bus, which ran frequently. Good number of supplies and hot tub was a plus. Only minor suggestion would be to add a few more lamps tp provide light, especially in the evening.The house was extremely comfortable and good size for the 6 of us. Highly recommend.

We are a family of five and we have lived in Crested Butte for the past 25 years! We love it here, no matter the season. Our two elder children have grown up here and now are launched in their own lives and we still have one in High School in Crested Butte. We are very active, enjoying every day in these beautiful mountains. We bought this house in 2015 and completely renovated it the winter of 2016. We are very house proud and we are committed to keeping the house up to date as well as clean and well decorated. We think it is stunning!

What makes this property unique

The house is situated on one of the best streets in Crested Butte - on the South side of the street with a quiet and private garden. The houses on the North side of this street all back up to the alley behind Elk Avenue which is all restaurants and commercial buildings ..... what more can I say. There is off street parking at the back - a mature garden - a HUGE deck on the first and the second floors and a very private hot tub.
You can't do better than this house in Crested Butte!
