THE SECRET GARDEN
Totally Renovated in 2017 the First Floor of the Lemon Guest House is the perfect Romantic Getaway. Check out the WALK THRU Videos under the Floor Plan Tab. It is the best way to get a feel of the house. Just use your mouse to walk thru. I think you will love it.
You will be greeted by lovely cool White Marble Floors throughout and popular White Washed Ship Lap walls. It centers on one Large Central Greatroom, Kitchen, Dining area. There is a Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa for extra sleeping and a convenient Half Bath. Plus a New Large Smart TV with Wifi.
The Kitchen is one of a kind. Long story but short version I rescued it from my Tennessee homestead. Over 50 years ago my Father had these made from old Poplar wood he salvaged out of an Elementary school. The trees were extinct even at that time. It was a labor of love but they are beautiful. Hope you enjoy.
The Kitchen features Stainless Appliances. Marble and Handmade Butcher Block Counters. Farm Sink and Subway Tile. And comes fully stocked with all you will need to cook a gourmet meal.
You can dine at a lovely Spa Glass Table or Outdoor in the Garden under a covered Lanai.
The Bedroom is Giant with a King Bed & a Roll-out Single Trundle for "the Little Ones". There is another Smart TV with easy Netflix and YouTube access. Pack N Play also available.
Gorgeous twin Spa Glass doors lead to the Master Bath and a large walk-in closet with room for Pack n Play available upon request. Everything in the Bath is shining Glass and Marble. Marble Vanity with Double Sinks. Marble walls & Floor. Glass Shower with Hand Held Shower Head. I want you to enjoy "pampering" yourself.
My sons favorite is the Blue Nightlight/Fan. One in the Half Bath too. What will they think of next?
A frosted mural door off the Master leads to the Secret Garden. Private. Relaxing. There is a Covered Lanai with outdoor Table and Grill. Both Gas (provided) or Charcoal. Plus a Sofa and Chair.
A Barn door (Also from my Tennessee home) leads from the Kitchen to the private Laundry.

The upstairs is also available. Called the Palm View, it is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath with its own Greatroom, Kitchen and outdoor Grill and seating. LOCATION
We are located Downtown at 67 1/2 Lemon St only 5 miles to my favorite beach called St Augustine Beach just south of Anastasia Park over the Bridge of Lions. We provide Beach Chairs and Towels + Boogie Boards. Their is lots of parking & public restrooms + amazing Restaurants. There is a great Farmer Market on Wednesdays and in the Summer even FREE Wednesday night outdoor concerts. The sand is perfect for building Sand Castles. The waves are great for Surfing. We provide Boogie Boards or you can rent Surf Boards and take lessons or rent bikes at A Street.
But you will find so much to do Downtown you will probably only go to the Beach the first day. Downtown is a world all its own. Simply Charming. Especially at night with the lights twinkling and the sound of music filling the streets. Thousands come for the Festival of Lights (Mid Nov thru January). Great Restaurants. Great History. My name is Linda Bayles. I have been a Realtor in the Jacksonville/St Augustine area ranking in the Top 1% of Agents since 1998. In 2005 I walked into a 1926 beach cottage direct oceanfront on St Augustine Beach and knew I had found my calling. I wanted to 'Create' a vacation space for Families. Large extended families. A place were Cousins, Grandmothers, Uncles and Aunts can comfortably come together to reconnect and enjoy each other away from the demands of the outside world. I come from a large family of 5 children as does my husband, Brad. Some of my fondest memories are when we all got together to just 'hang out' for 3 or 4 days. The little ones always come up with a 'play'. The adults always congregate in the Kitchen passing down the 'Family Recipes' to the next generation and playing Games. We are a big Game playing family. Specifically Rummikub. We start them at 5 and My Mother is still going at 95. If you have never played, you must. I make sure there is one in each house. Once you are hooked and have one of your own, I hope you will think of your St Augustine stay every time you play.
So I bought that 1926 Craftsman, gutted it and turned it into The Chautauqua which sleeps 21. It has been a rewarding success. In 2011, my Father expanded the tradition and bought 4 homes on one Oceanfront compound on 9th Street. We could not believe our luck and spent the next year remodeling them into The Seaside Cottages. We started renting them in June of 2012. The Best part is not only the homes but the BEACH. There are only 18 streets on the “Best Beach” - No cars. No Catwalk. The ocean right at your door. Everything within walking distance.
In 2016 I moved to Downtown St Augustine and added 4 more Downtown Homes walking distance of St George Street, the Center of Historic Downtown and all the Restaurants, Sights and Music. It is absolutely charming at night. You will feel you are strolling an old European City. A must see.
