This fabulous vacation retreat is great for families and groups. This 4 bedroom 2 bath lake house sleeps 10 and has lots of spaces to spread out and relax. The walkout ranch lake house is situated on a wooded lot with 135 feet of private sandy beach front and your own dock on 100 acre all sports Sunrise Lake. There are also 10 acres of private wooded walking trails. The home features spectacular views with floor to ceiling windows, a wraparound deck, 3 season porch, and a fireplace. Just down the road is 100's of acres of state forest with hiking, ORV, and dirt bike trails. Snowmobile trail access is nearby as well. Only a few minutes to drive to town and restaurants, a 30 minute drive to Cadillac and 1 hour to Traverse City.
Create your own custom getaway any season! Whether you want to relax and swim on the beach, nap in a porch swing, roast marshmallows by the camp fire, fish, canoe, tube, hike in the state forest, ride ORV’s or dirt bikes, snowmobile, or venture out to restaurants, wineries, golf courses, ski resorts, or farmers markets, you are sure to find activities to please most everyone!

Sunrise Lake House was a great base for our ice fishing weekend! It's very spacious with great views and access to the lake. We especially liked having the 3 seasons porch for our snow gear and being able to walk into the warm and comfortable entertainment area in the basement. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. It had everything you could want in a vacation spot during any season!

The pictures tell the true story- the beach and the lake are beautiful. The little ones loved the beach and it kept them entertained for countless hours. The house is really comfortable and very well equipped. Our extended family of nine fit very well and everyone in our party really enjoyed the accommodations. It is a great place!

Gorgeous house, very clean - stocked with your needs even down to the baby gate. Games and toys were an extra nice surprise. Communication w owners was prompt and easy The property, road, directions were as described. It was an absolutely perfect place for a family gathering - felt like home. Very nice place and exactly as described. The host was very responsive, place comfortably accommodated us (7 adults and 2 infants), was very clean, etc. place includes beach chairs, kayaks bunch of games. The only negative was slow internet and bad cell signal but that’s nothing to do with hosts/place but the location. Overall, very happy and we’ll be back again.

Fantastic for families

Overall we absolutely loved our stay! More than enough room for our group of 8. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking tools you may need. The beach/lake was our favorite party. Our 3 year old couldn’t get enough. The home was clean, spacious, and perfectly decorated. We loved that there were games and kids toys available. We will definitely be returning.

Summer Vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation! The home was so well thought out and comfortable for our family of 10. They even had toys and games for the kids. The beautiful sandy beach was truly perfect for our little kiddos to play and explore. They loved canoeing around the bay and to the island. We rented a boat for the week and had a blast enjoying everything the lake had to offer. I can’t say enough good things about this property. Thank you for a wonderful week - we can’t wait to come back!

Perfect getaway

We were a group of 8 including 4 kids. The property is gorgeous with perfect setting on the lake. We spent most of our time Kayaking and boating. Home is very clean with ample sleeping space. Kitchen is very well stocked. Host is very responsive and accommodating. We did not find toiletries (shampoo, bath soap) but had our own. But all in all perfect in all respect!

So Peaceful!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Our party consisted of nine people - four adults, four teens, and a child. We had plenty of room to be comfortable. The house was lovely and very well-equipped with everything we needed. Sunrise Lake is the perfect size. We were there Sunday - Friday and barely saw anyone else on the lake. Our party fished and boated every day. We took a one day trip to Traverse City which was about 1 hour 15 minutes away. It was easy to run into Le Roy if we needed anything, but we always felt like we were “away from it all”.

Perfect family getaway

Our family of four (2 kids 10 and under) + grandma, had a wonderful time relaxing at Serendipity on Sunrise Lake! The peaceful lake is so beautiful. The house is located on a quiet cove of the lake which was perfect for paddle boarding (we brought ours), paddle boating (provided) and fishing. We enjoyed fires by the beach and swinging on the upper deck - there was plenty of space to enjoy the views. Inside the house is also spacious with two family rooms and a large kitchen table - perfect for family games (many are provided). The owners provided everything you need in the kitchen and added other nice touches like night lights, firewood, extension cords and coolers for the beach. It was a perfect way to relax with the family. We will definitely visit again!

beautiful property and cottage! Had a blast! cleanliness Immaculate! With that being said! My 6 year old granddaughter found a sharp piece of glass by the slide! Thankfully she was not hurt and we avoided a trip to the emergency room! The checkout time was 10am which i would suggest that the host at least change this to 12 noon giving people time to enjoy a nice breakfast and clean up so you don’t get charge a excessive cleaning fee! Beautiful Cottage!

Great family trip

We really enjoyed our time at Sunrise Lake. Our young kids (6 and 4) loved the beach, which was a great depth for them, and they also loved playing in the yard. The house was filled with everything we could ask for. It is about 30 minutes to the nearest city, which we went to one night, and we also enjoyed some nice hiking. Laurie was a wonderful hostess, and was very communicative and responsive. She even worked to provide a window AC unit for the house when the temps were unseasonably high. Would definitely recommend.

Nice Location & Property

We were looking for more of a secluded location to have our family wintertime fun and this place has it! The spacing of residences is much improved compared to larger lakes in this area. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The sound system in the downstairs living room is very nice for watching movies. The fishing was a bit disappointing though there really wasn't much ice to explore the deeper portions of Sunrise Lake. We would recommend this place to friends and family. Jim & Tessa

Serindipity on Sunrise was lovely!

Very nice property. Lovely little lake. Quiet and peaceful. Well appointed home. Clean. All the extras were considered including a baby gate for the stairs, Disney moves, sand toys and wood for the bonfire. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely lake home

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It was clean, roomy, and had many items to make for a comfotable stay. Including: plenty of towels, paper products, cleaning supplies, kitchen and grill utensils and even sticks for roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. We spent much time in the water and on the deck, which the views were fantastic and the lake water warm. We used the two kayaks, and enjoyed those quite a bit. It was nice that there were two adult sized life jackets available. The beach was nice and sandy. Great for small children. It could be better if there were a way to remove a bit more of the water plants a bit further (where the water starts to get some depth). But that might just be me, not fond of seaweed and muck. The stairs down to the lake may be difficult for older folks, or those with mobility issues. The lake, while we were there, was quiet. There were a few speed boats, with kids tubing (all sports lake), but much more peaceful than we expected going in. There were more quiet pantoons than anything else. Only a couple minor issues. The instructions for leaving include closing and locking all windows, which I understand. But it make the first 24 hours there quite unbearable (as it was hot, and no a/c) until we were able to cool it down the 2nd night. Some window fans would be a plus to help pull in the cooler night air. There were some electrical issues that were addressed right away, thank you! Overall we enjoyed our stay, found the property to be very clean and well cared for. Well thought out details, nicely decorated and spacious. Highly recomended.

Beach/Lake wonderful, House amazing!

The beach and shallow swimming area was perfect for our 4 grandchildren ages 5 and under. They enjoyed the sandy beach and the warm lake water outside and inside the chain link toy was a hit!! The house has a lot to offer! The view was beautiful, the house very clean and neat and there was plenty of room for the 9 of us. We caught a few fish, saw turtles, loons, and deer. It's located on a private drive which made for peaceful morning walks. We visited the island a couple of times, the kids loved it! We had a wonderful stay!

The perfect vacation home!

My family had a great time. The home is adorable and comfortable. The 2 year old enjoyed the sandy beach. The 7 year old loved exploring the island. The 15 year old spent the week fishing and was quite successful. Hope to come back.

Had everything for everyone

We had 6 adults and 6 kids ( ranging from 2-11) and everyone had a great time. The beach area was awesome for the little ones and the older ones loved swimming. We did some fishing and had a great time. It did rain a few days but the house has ample room and activities for everyone. The kids loved playing the game Life and the Wii. Commincarion with the owners was very easy and they were very responsive. We would definitely stay again!!
