Our beautiful craftsman home sits just above Lake Whatcom in a quiet neighborhood of Bellingham. The house is inviting, open, eclectic and arty in decor, comfortable, and convenient to life in Bellingham. You'll find amenities close by, easy access with a car to grocery stores, waterfront, shops, restaurants, trails, mountains, water sports and etc.
The master bedroom and bathroom are on the main floor and two additional bedrooms and bathroom are up a flight of stairs. There is a washer and dryer available, all kitchen appliances that are needed, WiFi, TV, Dish Network, gas fireplace, heated floors, wheelchair accessible. Our home comes complete with wildlife - they love it here too.
The kitchen is set up for many to help cook dinners, there is a bar for your meals as well as a dining room table set up in a sunny window with a lake view.
There are patios in the front and back of the house with sweet places for morning coffee, evening drinks or meals.
Come enjoy a lovely family home whether you're looking for a place for a holiday or if you're here for work, this is a place you'll love.

Lovely, clean property

We had a great visit to support our nephew who was graduating from WWU. Leora was in touch when we needed anything and the house has everything you might need. It’s a beautiful house and a lovely location - about 15 minute drive to the university. I wouldn’t change a single thing about our stay there!!

The perfect hideaway while selling!

We needed a place to stay over a long weekend to allow for multiple showings at our newly listed home and we could not have asked for a better place! This home is comfortable and felt like a hug in the middle of a somewhat stressful time. It was wonderful to sit in front of the fireplace while we discussed things and to just relax. Plus, we all had the space we needed with work space for my husband and a large bedroom where my daughter was able to continue her online college studies. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we would love to return during the summer to enjoy your lovely patio!

Silver Beach House

Thank you so much for making our stay so easy! The house was perfect for an elder with mobility issues. Leora is a fabulous communicator. Comfy home in great location with great kitchen.

This is a perfect place for exploring Bellingham and the Mt Baker region of the N Cascade Mtns. The house is spacious but also has a cosy lived in vibe. The kitchen is amply supplied with utensils and is a pleasure to cook in. Nice view of lake from dinning area. All the bed are comfortable. Also lots of nice spots to relax on the outside patio. Leora and Gary, the owners, are very nice and they promptly respond to any questions or needs we have. Best VRBO we have so far rented!

Simply wonderful

We just had a wonderful tranquil stay at Silver Beach. Just walking into the home - a lived in home with colorful decor, so clean and cheerful and artifacts around - we felt welcomed. We prepared meals together, looking out at the lake, played and talked and laughed and reminisced. Looked at the big dipper from the terrace at night and breathed in fragrant scents. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need- and more ! Thank you, we would have liked to stay longer!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this home. It was comfortable and homey and extremely charming. Leora made sure we had what we needed and was the perfect host. I felt like I was staying at a family friend’s home. It was a great home base to go out and explore Bellingham. We loved exploring and then coming “home” to this lovely house. It was decorated for Christmas with magical lights inside and out. The kitchen is equipped for a gourmet cook! The best part was sitting at the dining table and enjoying the beautiful view of Lake Whatcom. So peaceful and beautiful. The patios looked so inviting! I wish it hadn’t been so cold. I bet they are lovely in the spring and summer. Stay here—You won’t be disappointed. I hope to be back one day!

Good alternative to Hotels for work

Just like being home including holiday lights. Unbelievable kitchen with food waiting for us in Frig. Perfect for 3 traveling gnomes.

We love our Bellingham home and live here half the time. Now that we're retired we live on Lopez Island part of the time and to supplement our income we are experimenting with renting our home to wonderful people who will treat our home as their own. It's not a hotel, it's a home, so we expect that you will take care as if it were your own.

Why they chose this property

This is a fantastic area to settle as it's close to the downtown waterfront, Lake Whatcom, multiple parks, extensive trail systems, and it's on the way to Mt. Baker. A true landing off point!

What makes this property unique

If you're looking for a comfortable and beautiful place to spend your vacation then you'll love this. We have lovely views, are situated in a neighborhood but our property is bordered by woods and wildlife creating a very private and quiet environment.
There is a large driveway for multiple cars.
