Walk in and instantly feel HOME! Our guests who stay here appreciate and enjoy nice furniture, comfy beds and all the comforts of home. This is also my personal residence. I live here year round, except for the few weeks that I open it up for guests. During this time, I happily spend it with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons who live less than a mile away. All I ask is that you take good care of my home during your stay, make lifelong memories and return again. Thank You!
Now, a little bit about my home. It sits on 3 lots and Hunter Creek which feeds into beautiful Silver Lake. It is a very nice, clean and spacious 2,370 sq. ft., two story cottage home with an open floor plan. There are 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. 1 full bathroom with a shower is located on the first floor. A 1/2 bath is on the upper level, between two of the three upstairs bedrooms. The 1 1/2 bathrooms has never been an issue for our family or any of the guests who stay here. After all, you're on vacation! Just rotate shower days, lol!
Bring your kayak and/or canoe and take off from the back yard and paddle your way right into Silver Lake. Hunter Creek has been shallow the past few years. So, for those of you who have a large boat, there is a public boat launch just at the end of W. Taylor and N. Shore Rd., you can drop it off and bring your trailer back to the house. If you don't have a kayak or boat, you can rent one from the Wave Club which is just down the street. At this time, there are no open boat slips available to dock your boat on Silver Lake. We are hoping this will change in the near future.
We are located right next to the Silver Village Assoc. path that leads to a pedestrian bridge that crosses Hunter Creek. Just a short walk across the bridge and up a dirt road leads you to the private Silver Village Assoc. pool and playground. Swim in the SVA private pool (scheduled days/times). Watch as people enjoy the zip line, drop tower and go carts at Craig's Cruisers. Walk across the street and eat lunch at The Chicken Shack or Silver Scoops. Lighthouse Grill offers a delicious breakfast and lunch. Golden Bakery is where you can find yummy donuts and cinnamon rolls. The Silver Lake State Park is about a mile away. As well as the amazing Silver Lake Sand Dunes and ORV acess and parking! Our beautiful Little Sable Pointe Lighthouse and stunning Lake Michigan beach is less than 2 miles away. So many other places to enjoy are just a short drive, too!
