Casa Tigrillo - secluded forest cabin just minutes from the Monteverde Preserve

Escape to this enchanting 3-bedroom house, well off the main road but just a 10 minute walk from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Preserve! Relax in the cozy living room, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Two of the bedrooms feature queen beds, and the third one has bunk beds that are great for kids or an extra adult. A futon in the living room can also be made into another bed, ensuring a good night's sleep for all guests. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, washer and dryer, electric range and microwave. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our house; we are biologists who have worked in the Monteverde area since 1980, and one of the things we've loved most about our home is that it has lots of wildlife! Right behind it is one of the largest private forest parcels in the entire area, and we commonly see three species of monkeys, scores of birds, and of course lots of cool insects, reptiles and amphibians.

This brand-new property on VRBO belongs to colleagues, and we were delighted to be their first official renters!The location is lovely and private, above the town toward the Cloud Forest Preserve, making it possible to walk up the road and avoid the shuttle parking below. We saw mot-mots and wild turkeys on the driveway!Raul was extremely helpful, easy to communicate with, and cheerful even when we arrived in the rain after dark. The house is very secure and the wi-fi's solid. Great to have the convenience of a washer/dryer!It's got a full kitchen, big fridge, stove/oven, and everything you'd need for a home stay. That said, it's a property for a certain clientele. It's not fancy, the driveway requires 4-wheel drive, there's no heat, and it's driving distance from all of Santa Elena/Monteverde's shops, restaurants and attractions.If you're looking for a simple, quiet, nature-focused stay, this is it!
