If I could give this host ZERO stars, I would.I made and received confirmation for my reservation on May 5 for a stay from June 4–8. Then, on May 31—just days before our trip—the host, Amara, informed me that they could not accommodate our stay because they were changing locations and were no longer accepting bookings.By that point, the deadline for a full refund had already passed. We had arranged flights, a rental car, event tickets, and other travel plans based on this confirmed reservation. The last-minute cancellation created significant stress, inconvenience, and unexpected expenses. What makes this even more frustrating is that the host instructed me to cancel the reservation myself. The host had more than three weeks to review and address this booking but apparently failed to do so. Claiming to be unaware of an automated booking is not an acceptable excuse when managing a rental property and accepting reservations through a booking platform. The host had already received notification of my payment and reservation, yet waited until the last possible moment to cancel. This demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and responsibility. This experience has severely damaged my confidence in both this host and VRBO. I hope VRBO takes appropriate action to prevent other travelers from experiencing the same treatment.I strongly caution anyone considering booking with this host.
