We absolutely loved this place. The king bed was exactly what we needed after a day of playing in town and in the sun. It was like sleeping in a cloud. Location was close to everything within about 10 minutes we could be anywhere. We seen bear both days. One even on the porch! Definitely recommend. The host Jennifer made everything super easy and was great!
This property was not what we expected. This cabin smelled old, like mold covered with air freshener. It felt damp. There were many cobwebs on the outside of the deck and windows, some under the kitchen cabinet by the very dirty air filter and a big one looking out of the kitchen window into the Mountain View. The deck needed a good cleaning/pressure washing. The master bathroom was disappointing. It was split with the toilet and sink on one side of the bedroom and the shower on the other side of the bedroom that appeared to be added on. Overall this cabin did not feel clean and it was very disappointing. We did not end up staying there. I texted the host and told her we were not staying and she replied back to me a thumbs up!
The location of this cabin in Gatlinburg was absolutely beautiful tucked away in the woods, quiet, and peaceful. I really loved the layout of the cabin and how cozy and private it felt. It definitely has the potential to be a great place to stay.Unfortunately, the cleanliness was a major disappointment. The main walking areas looked clean, but everywhere else told a different story. There was thick dust and debris in the corners, under furniture, and cobwebs around the bases of most pieces. The floors were so dirty that my kids and I had to use towels to walk on after showering just to keep our feet from getting grimy. The furniture and blinds were also coated in dust, which made the whole place feel neglected. To top it off, all of the ice trays in the refrigerator were cracked and unusable. It’s really unfortunate because this cabin could be a 5-star stay with just a little more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. The cleaning staff definitely needs to step it up or be replaced because the location and layout deserve better.
Beautifu cabin and comfortable beds and furniture. Loved everything about it. Would definitely recommend. My only suggestion would be in both showers to install handle grips for eldely people. It could be a slip and fall hazzard for folks like myself. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay with y'all. I highly recommend this place.
