It was a true pleasure to stay in this historic home. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated. It was comfortable and welcoming. The hosts were very communicative and answered questions without delay. The area is quiet and peaceful, yet, close enough to Litchfield center, Overall I miss staying there already and look forward to returning someday soon.

Quiet, historic, beautifully furnished and well-maintained home. At check in the entire property was absolutely gleaming. We had a very pleasant 9-day stay. Be aware that there is no toaster or other way to toast bread, bagels, or muffins (gas oven not practical) if you plan to cook breakfast, and smoking is not allowed on the property, even outdoors.

Cozy house is beautifully equipped and very well kept. Property and gardens are lovely. The hosts are friendly and respond quickly to any questions. The surrounding area is wonderful for long walks along the roads and there are many photo ops - old woods, ponds, roaring streams, historical cemeteries (pre-revolutionary through present day head stones to explore) and many old buildings and greens within walking distance. Restaurants in the area are driving distance and serve good food.
