There are two, separate, common areas on the creek with picnic tbl., hammock and fire pit for your enjoyment! The scenic, mountain, relatively undeveloped, no red light drive in to Gatlinburg takes 20-25 min. About 40-45 min. to drive into Pigeon Forge/Dollywood or Sevierville. private road circles the interior of the property through the woods and flower vegetable garden area. We have a less traveled entrance into the park just 3 miles The Cosby Trailhead Campground Entrance. There are 7 restaurants, one, highly recommended Carvers Apple House, 2 Dollar General stores within a 5 mile radius and a Wal Mart 15 miles (20 min.) in a small,, non tourist town, Newport, Tn. For those who might have interest in Western N.C., Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Hot Springs, Waynesville is only 45 min. and Asheville/Biltmore is 1hr. 10 min. Interstate I-40 is only 8 miles from us, 6 miles over the mountain, through the park, with scenic overlooks, via The Foothills Parkway. Secluded in the woods
The cabin was nicely located away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Gatlinburg. Poor lighting in the living room. Cabin needs to be sprayed fir bugs.....had numerous bugs inside. Outside area around the cabin needed some attention, i realize its a cabin but it can still be eye appealing. Over all, enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed the porch swing very much.

Cool little cabin
We really enjoyed our stay in this rustic little cabin (with our 9-year-old dog). It's an older cabin, but has been well maintained, has character, is clean, and is in a great location. We loved how quiet and private it is. The bed linens were fresh and clean and there were plenty of clean towels in the bathroom. Chris met us on the road as we arrived and gave us helpful info for accessing the cabin and path to the creek. I took off one star only because the water temperature in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold. We'd definitely stay here again on our next visit in this area.

Simple
We enjoyed our stay at the Honeymoon Cabin. We enjoyed the scenic drive into Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The cabin was simple, we didn’t need much because we mainly were out and about at Dollywood/Gatlinburg. We saw one bear on the property on our way back in one evening! There is a coffee shop nearby that’s in a laundry mat (about 2-4 miles down the road) we’d grab a warm coffee and enjoy the drive into Gatlinburg. My only complaint is the shower was not hot. It would be warm then turn cold intermittently. That could be fixed though. We never used the fire pit, but that looked super nice. This cabin is for enjoying the outdoors. It’s not luxurious for a glamper and that is what made it the best for us.

An artist oil on canvas, mountain, forest & cabin scenes of the Smoky Mountains. Painting for over 50 years & opened her first Galley in downtown Gatlinburg in 1967 where painted for over 25 yrs. Painting exclusively in her home & "Garden of Eden" having a small studio & gallery. Am an animal advocate & respectful nature lover living close to the land & having a organic flower & vegetable garden has kept me health and active.

Why they chose this property

Because it borders the National Park on 2 sides & has a large mountain creek that comes out of the park with mature forest having wildflowers, mushrooms, fauna, Rhododendron, Mountain Laurel & wildlife. Knowing property bordering the park would never be developed. Don't guess need to say more.

What makes this property unique

Makes for a wonderful stronghold with land to grow food access to clean water with fish. wildlife for food, one way in & out with 1.9 million acres (The GSMNP & 3 Nat`l. forest, Nantahala, Pisgah & Cherokee) in my back yard
