A wonderful opportunity to spend two days away from the hustle and bustle of the city, immersing yourself in the atmosphere of secluded life in a traditional Uzbek mountain village. Walking through picturesque fields, learning about local crafts and spending the night under the stars is the perfect way to relax and enjoy nature.
What awaits you?
Day 1: Scenic Road and Introduction to the Village
We will meet you at your hotel and drive to the mountain village of Urgut, just 40 km from Samarkand. This place is famous for its ancient plane trees, which are more than a thousand years old. Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Zeravshan Mountains, spring streams and flowering fields.
In the village, we will meet the Mamatov family, who will tell you about local traditions, crafts such as carpet weaving and tobacco production. You will learn how people live in Urgut and how this region differs from other parts of Uzbekistan.
Together with locals, we will cook kazan-kebab, a traditional Uzbek dish, and enjoy lunch in the fresh air.
In the evening, we will cook pilaf, then light a fire and spend the night in glamping - comfortable tents with amenities (toilet and shower in the tent).
Day 2: Breakfast and return to Samarkand
In the morning, we will have breakfast and go to the neighboring village of Kyumbelsoy. After that, we will begin the return journey to Samarkand, full of vivid impressions and memories of two days spent in the mountains.
