About this property

Moose Mountain Lodge • Stunning Mountain Views • Hot Tub • Fire Pit •...

Moose Mountain Lodge has decks for days, games for nights, and the best mountaintop views you’ll find this side of the Chattahoochee! Perched above Ellijay, this 3-bed, 3-bath cabin brings together sweeping mountain views, decks on every level, and plenty of space to spread out without stepping on each other’s toes.

Inside, you’ll find a loft game room for family fun, a cozy great room with a stone fireplace, and a lower-level suite with its own entrance and living space. Step outside to soak in the hot tub or gather around the fire pit with the mountains as your backdrop.

From sunrise coffee overlooking the peaks to fireside nights under the stars, Moose Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to make lasting memories — and settle the age-old argument about who gets the best bedroom.

Where you'll sleep:
– King suite on the main floor (convenient + cozy)
– King suite upstairs with a private bath and deck (likely to be claimed first)
– Queen suite downstairs with its own entry, bath, and deck (hello, introverts or early risers)
– USB charging stations at every bedside — no need to fight over outlets

Where you'll play:
– Hand-built retro arcade loaded with 1000s of games
– Brooks 48" wood foosball table for family face-offs
– Smart TV setup for movies, games, or background ambience

Where you'll relax:
– Vaulted ceilings, panoramic windows, and a wood-burning fireplace for true cabin vibes
– Fully stocked kitchen - coffee makers included, beans are up to you
– Dining area and bar seating with space for the whole crew
– Your first round's on us — we include one free bundle of firewood per stay

Where you'll unwind:
– Soothing hot tub with epic mountain views
– Decks on every level — perfect for reading, spotting wildlife, or just staring off into the Blue Ridge Mountains.
– Fire pit for s’mores, stories, and crisp mountain air

Pet-friendly:
No fenced yard, but we welcome well-behaved dogs (pet fee applies)

Thoughtful touches:
– There's always a little something waiting to say you've arrived
– Wicked fast Wi-Fi, smart lockbox entry, 4 smart TVs, washer/dryer, and central HVAC keep it comfortable and connected — without losing that mountain magic

Guests have full access to the entire home, including all decks, the hot tub, game room, fire pit, and private driveway. The downstairs queen suite has its own private entry, perfect for early risers or those who like a little extra space. Smart lockbox entry makes check-in a breeze.

– This is a true mountain cabin — AWD/4WD is strongly recommended, especially in wet weather.
– The moose in the great room? He's part of the experience. Every guest gets to name him.
– We’ve hosted guests here since 2018, and while our management approach has evolved, our commitment to great experiences hasn’t changed a bit.
– There’s no fenced yard, but we welcome well-behaved dogs with a pet fee.
– One more thing — you're in a cabin. On a mountain. In the woods. That means bugs, deer, snakes, raccoons, bears, and maybe even something with more legs than you’d prefer. We do our best to keep nature in its lane, but once in a while, it crashes the party.

Beautiful views, and a wonderful cabin. I will say that this place is a bit tough to get to, and google maps directions aren't alway right. Once you're off the main roads you'll still have 15 minutes or so to reach the cabin, so getting places is difficult. We did not have 4WD or AWD on our pallisade, and I will say I don't recommend that experience, as it was raining for much of our stay. Driving in and out of this property could be rather nerve wracking in rainy conditions, I imagine this is even true with 4WD.Overall everything at this stay was lovely, the beds were comfortable, the layout was great, just wish the weather cooperated more, but it made for some great hikes at the local parks.

We had a wonderful stay at Moose Mountain Lodge! The views were breathtaking, even on rainy days, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a long hike. The cabin was spotless and everything worked perfectly. Communication with the hosts was excellent throughout our stay. The drive up to the cabin is definitely part of the adventure—AWD or 4WD is highly recommended. After some rain, we were especially glad to have an AWD vehicle. We’d absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in the area and highly recommend Moose Mountain Lodge to anyone visiting!

This cabin is very cozy and perfectly set up for a couples/friends getaway! Mike and Tonya are the consummate hosts from providing a wonderful welcome basket to daily check-ins to ensure that our needs were taken care of. This cabin is well-stocked and was very clean upon arrival. The views are fabulous and the location is very peaceful. We had a wonderful restful weekend. The only downside to the cabin is that to access the lower level bedroom, you have to go outside. It cannot be accessed from inside the house. Fortunately, this was not an issue for us since there were just 2 couples. Heed the owner’s guidance regarding the roadway to the cabin. It is a steep 20 minute or so drive on partially washed out dirt roads. Be prepared but don’t let it deter you from renting the cabin. Just get what you need before you get to the cabin and you will be set for a great experience.
