Come spend your holiday retreat in truely private loft..open space!
La Casa Tica has the feel of tree loft surrounded by trees, overlooking an acre of moss tree lined trails. Sit on your 10x14 deck and listen to the birds sing and gaze into the beautiful woods. This is your space to feel alone and amongst nature. Behind your 2nd floor loft lookout to the magical wood, moss covered trails and often deer linger close by. Enjoy a fire at the bomb fire pit or let the kid loose in you and swing on the architectural swing set. Unit is on 2nd floor and below you is garage parking, laundry facilities and bikes for your use, even a burley if you have a little one.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Checkout 11am. If you used grill please clean night before. Remove grills spray with oven off. Let sit an hour then scrub with pumps stone provided. Replace on grill and windex outside of grill.
Place all used linens in laundry room and start a load of white or colored. (Not together).
Take all trash from house to street bins. Wash all dishes and put away. Turn air/heat to off. Fan always on Auto. Turn off lights. Lock up and put key in lock box. HOPE YOU HAD A FABULOUS RETREAT
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
NO SMOKING ALLOWED. Smoking and vaping of any kind is not permitted inside the property including the garage. Deposit will be forfeited.
No extra guests at any time unless approved.
Pets need approval and a pet fee expected. No pets in bed or sofa. Clean up after pup any where on property. Trails and woods included.

Elena was a fantastic host! The property was perfect for our little family. We had a dog and 1 year old with us. The separate bedroom was perfect for our travel crib and the bathtub was ideal for post beach clean up. Our dog loved the backyard trails. Her kitchen had everything you needed and more! Highly recommend this rental.

Casa Tica was beautiful! It is very clean, open, spacious, and comfortable. We loved the big clawfoot tub and the bed was comfy. The kitchen was well-equipped with all that we needed. We enjoyed playing music on the big deck, overlooking the mossy trails out back, which were fun to explore. The setting is very private and lovely. The outside shower was delightful! We will definitely come back. Elena was kind and helpful.

Beautiful views of nature out of every window! Privacy due to all the trees surrounding the area. Very comfortable bed. The weather was a little too cold for us to use the outdoor shower but there is a deep bathtub. Kitchen had all the necessities. Lovely stay in a great location central to wineries and parks in the area.

Absolutely beautiful little cottage tucked in the back woods of a 5 acre lot. There are houses around but the trees make it private, even in the winter. Comfy bed, adorable decor and everything you could need to enjoy your stay!
We even saw 6 deer!!

Amazing little spot tucked into the woods. The outside shower wasn’t functioning, so the only other option is the bathtub. I would also recommend earplugs for the frogs and birds at night, there are also no curtains so things get a little bright in the morning. But overall we very much enjoyed the stay and would love to visit again.

Weekend getaway

This was the perfect weekend retreat to a secluded nature tree house. It is beautifully kept and the cottage vibes make it relaxing with the beauty of nature and beaches and towns close by. Definitely want to return here.

Perfect vacation stay

Our family of four recently stayed for a short vacation. The house was perfect for us! It was very clean and had everything we needed! We walked the outdoor trails and used the fire pit daily. It was beautiful! Our favorite amenity was the outdoor shower! We can’t wait to come back and would definitely stay at La Casa Tica again!

Perfect getaway

This was a great spot for our little family of 4. Felt remote yet right off highway, and super quick drive to an awesome private beach. Kids loved the fire pit, swings, bunk beds, and big tub! Outdoor shower was large and such a nice treat. Communication with owner was a breeze. Definitely recommend!

Perfect Dog Getaway

What a beautiful little spot! We traveled with our two pups for a weekend in the woods and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The mossy trails off the house were perfect for our senior pups to explore and the dunes were a quick drive away for even more trails. Especially loved the gorgeous bathtub and the outdoor shower! Plenty of vegan options nearby, which was a nice surprise. We’ll definitely be back.

La Casa Tica was really cool. Beautiful, eclectic decor. Bikes, deck, trails, kitchen, grill, fire pit, swings made it fun and practical. Has a romantic vibe. We visited with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Would love to stay without the kids next time. They loved the bunk beds

This was our fifth year visiting the area and we all agree this was one of our favorite trips. The location was central to all the Southwest Michigan attractions. The property is both somehow secluded and right near all the action of Union Pier. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces including the most comfortable fire pit. The kitchen was well-stocked. Like other reviewers have said, you should be very comfortable with whoever you’re staying with as the bathroom provides little privacy. Not a problem for us at all but since it’s not super obvious from the photos, it’s worth a mention. Overall this spot is great looking, comfortable (loved the king bed), private and in the perfect location. Highly recommend.

Great little corner of the woods!

The place was very nice and clean and had very good amenities! The outside shower and the bathtub was enjoyed. It wasn't as private as other reviews suggested. We could hear the neighbors and someone stopped by for lawn care during our stay. Also can confirm the highway can be heard when outside. But if you turn on a fan and have the windows closed it was very private. Overall a great place to stay and would consider coming again!
