“Robin’s Nest” is one of 4 newly renovated units within a 2 villa, 2 apartment, self-contained gated property, available for short term vacation rental at The Holiday House Villas and Suites. Located on Barbados world renowned Platinum West Coast, in the Holder’s Hill neighborhood of Paynes Bay, the property offers an intimate private setting and is situated on 14,000sq. ft. of landscaped grounds, complemented by lots of on-site parking.

“Robin’s Nest” space saving design ensures that while cozy, you never feel cramped in this charming, bright, sunny air-conditioned one bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchenette and wooden shutters for windows in true Bajan style. Take your pick of dining at the breakfast bar or table and enjoy the best budget experience available in this prestigious location in Barbados.

On arrival at this home you will be welcomed by our Property Manager, who will introduce you to the property.

Private Transportation can be arranged. Public Transportation is also readily available. Taxis are very affordable and are easy to organize in Barbados and there is a bus stop on the corner, which runs up and down the West Coast from Bridgetown through Holetown and on to Speightstown. The buses run extremely frequently and cost 2BD. If you are comfortable driving on the right side, a car would provide you with the maximum flexibility for touring the island.
Additionally, if you enjoy a nice stroll the property is ideally located with easy access to many local areas of interest within 15–20-minute walk.

Our unit was very comfortable and met all our needs. Off the main highway it was quiet but easily accessible if you like walking or have a car. To top off the positives, the host/owner Robin is an absolutely wonderful person! Attentive and quickly reactive to any concern or request. Hats off too to the acting property manager Ash who seems to work 24 hours a day. We hope to return in the very near future!

Wonderful and peaceful stay

lovely 1 bedroom apartment with a grocery store close by, with buses near also. Rhema the local site manager was very pleasant to deal with and receptive to our inquiries very quickly. The apartment had the necessary amenities that one would need, the only real draw back to a long stay like we had of 6 weeks would be a larger fridge, that would have be a better option than the mini fridge, but for shorter stays the smaller fridge would be sufficient. Tv and internet works flawlessly, cleaning was done weekly with new linens and towels. Due to the location a car would be beneficial as the villa is located up Holders hills, if you enjoy walking like we do, it wasn't an issue to walk up and down to the beach's, which were located 10 to 15 minutes walk from the villa, also there is buses that run up and down the hill, check the local running time has its about every hour or so,. In speaking with the other guests who stayed in the other apartments while we there, the other guests were also impressed with their accommodations. Overall we highly recommend the Villa for anyone who is looking at staying here and look forward to return trip.

2 weeks at Holder’s Hill

We were very impressed by the responsiveness of the property manager Ashley. She replied promptly to emails and would also show up in person for our issues when needed, and there were a few issues. E.g., the bed was uncomfortably firm enough that it left my wife somewhat sore the entire trip, even after we were able to soften it a bit with a comforter Ashley provided and blankets. The couch was the only other sleeping option but it was just as firm; it could probably be replaced by more comfortable seating, as well. The tv didn't work multiple days but Ashley did come and get it going. Water regularly pooled in the bathroom by the toilet so we had to use the mat and small towels to sop it up, then took them out front to dry out and then repeated the process. It would be great to have a/c throughout the unit, access to shade like a beach umbrella for sitting out front and to have more info or instructions left like we've had at other VRBOs on local attractions or using things like the gas stove. If you go, bring your own beach towels. While there isn't a washer or dryer, we were able to easily hand wash some items in the large laundry tub. The appliances all worked well and the water pressure was good. We enjoyed several restaurants on Hwy. 1 at the base of Holder's Hill, like The Roti Den, Karibu, De Clay Oven, and Fuschia for dessert.

This is the first complaint we have received regarding the bed's firmness. The guest who stayed immediately after you " thanked us for an excellent stay." Since bedding is essential to the stay, we provide a quality bed with a quality mattress and support. Due to the high cost of electricity in Barbados, most places only provide air conditioning in the bedrooms. Those that do are far more costly. We certainly could not offer full apartment air at the low rates we charge. Finally, we are implementing your suggestion to provide an umbrella so guests can enjoy the outdoor seating area in the shade. We will also provide additional written instructions for apartment operations and additional local amenities and attractions. Again, thank you for your patronage and feedback, and we hope you will come again when visiting beautiful Barbados. Robin and Jerome

Paynes Bay Beach, the postcard-perfect beach of your daydreams, is a 15-minute downhill stroll from Holders Retreat. Also called "The Platinum Coast," many locals consider this to be the best beach on the island. Also within a 15-minute stroll is Daphne's, The Cliff Beach Club, and an exciting mix of trendy bars like Scarlet and 1837. Holetown and Limegrove Lifestyle Center are less than a mile away, where you will find more restaurants, bars, duty-free shopping, a large supermarket, and banks.

To the east is the Green Monkey, Sandy Lane’s most exclusive golf course; to the west, the Holders Polo Club, the first of its kind in Barbados and one of the most prestigious polo clubs in the Caribbean.
