Wonderful home with all the amenities and a great home base for visiting Olympic National Park. And it’s just a few steps from the Olympic Discovery Trail for a walk or bike ride. Short drive to several great restaurants and downtown Sequim.

The location was amazing. Close to town, but far enough away to be secluded. The landlord has a home on the grounds. He gave great suggestions for things to do, then let us have our time alone. The Hideaway is spacious, especially for two of us, though it will sleep four. Nice decor, let us feel at home. Would definitely stay again.

Property listed as “all fees included.” Not true. A Cleaning fee is added when checking out, as well as a mandatory damage fee. Guests are expected to perform various cleaning jobs before leaving.Noticed a soapy film in the shower caddy.Directed to clean the dryer lint screen, however before using the dryer, I checked the lint screen. It had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. Outdoor furniture was not clean. Had quite a bit of “pet hair”(unsure), but definitely did not appear or feel clean.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify a few items: VRBO has control over the "all fees included" portion of the software, and hosts do not have to ability to override that wording. However, the cleaning fee is clearly stated prior to booking, as well as the damage deposit. Both of these could have been addressed prior to your stay, with cancellation an option if you were unhappy. The cleaning jobs requested prior to your departure are minimal. We ask that you take out the trash, remove your items from the refrigerator and start a load of laundry. We do put a reminder to clean the dryer lint vent on the front of the dryer after use, simply because not doing so could cause a fire and/or issues with clothes drying. The outdoor furniture unfortunately is outside, and the wind does blow in the Pacific Northwest. The furniture is covered, so there should have been no issue, however upon your check in, I asked if the home met your expectations and you stated that the "home is beautiful and we are enjoying our stay." If there are issues that you don't disclose, I am unable to correct. This is also a pet free home, so I can't understand why you thought there was pet hair on the furniture. It's unfortunate that you didn't discuss any of these items with us during your stay.

If you're looking for a sweet vacation spot and getaway in northern Washington, Sequim Bay Hideaway should be at the top of your list. My wife and I enjoyed a glorious week there in August. Perfect weather, fantastic views of Sequim Bay from our deck, and easy trips to nearby Port Townsend and Port Angeles. Sequim is a cute, friendly little town within minutes from the Hideaway. Be sure to check out the great food at Tedescos and the Dockside Grill. Property owner John and his assistant Jo Ann where very responsive to all our questions and needs and made us feel right at home. The home itself is modern, well equipped, and just perfect for two. You are a stone's throw from the Olympic Discovery Trail, and we enjoyed daily walks along it. We will definitely be going back to the Hideaway!

Nice and comfortable apartment over a garage with a nice view of the bay. Though it’s close to the highway, we never heard any traffic noise in the unit. The outdoor deck felt very private and comfortable. This place is perfect for someone looking to unwind. It’s quiet, but also just a few minutes from town.Shorter people may struggle with some of the cabinets, wash basins, island counter height, and even getting in the master bed. We assume the place was built for tall people. But beyond that, everything was nice and comfortable. We would recommend!
