About this property
Stunning High Bank 3 BDRM w/ Ballroom on the Salish Sea
Escape to Forest Ledge, a beautiful, gated home on a private 3.6 acre high bank property on the Salish Sea. Inside you'll find a magical ballroom with a rock n roll history. It holds a 9 ft. Bosendorfer Grand Piano and theater pipe organ. The Ballroom and Banquet Room/Living Room open onto a tiered lawn overlooking the Salish Sea (also known as Puget Sound). With 3 bedrooms on two floors, and 2 bathrooms equipped with showers, and 2 powder rooms, this retreat is perfect for families or friends. This is a very unique home with a history to match (see below). Forest Ledge is a secluded, peaceful oasis. An amazing view of the Salish Sea and the Cascade Mountains awaits you. The property is forested, with Eagle Landing Park to the South.
The kitchen, designed as a catering kitchen, is large and fully appointed. There are two ovens (one is convection) and two dishwashers, plus 6 burner gas range and microwave.
The three bedrooms:
The Garden Room is a cozy room with bathroom en suite. You view the sunrise filtering through the trees, and our flower and herb garden.
The Cabin Room boasts a built-in bed which is situated right to windows which let in the breeze off of the Sound. There are inside windows which open onto the Ballroom.
The Balcony Room is a bright room. The light streams in through windows and French doors leading to the balcony and a gorgeous view of Puget Sound. The Cabin Room and the Balcony Room share a bathroom.

In 2008, Sean Kinney, the drummer for Alice in Chains, bought the house which had fallen into disrepair. Alice in Chains, Guns and Roses, and many other well-known Seattle musicians gathered in the Ballroom to jam and party. He owned it until 2012 when the current owners purchased it from Kinney. The owners live onsite so if there is anything that you need, they are only steps away.

Hello! Welcome to Forest Ledge. Forest Ledge is a special place that we believe needs to be shared with people who will appreciate its uniqueness and history.
I'm a multidisciplinary artist, architect and interior designer. I'm also active in the community in support of arts and economic development and thoughtful city planning. You'll see a handful of my paintings and a photo of a younger me dancing as a couple of examples of my work.
I hope that you have a lovely time here. Please let me know how we can improve Forest Ledge.
