About this property
Enchanted Romantic Get-away Or Small Family Destination
Nestled up and between tall evergreens and situated against the Swan Mountain Range, sits this lovely craftsman style guesthouse, we call our “Tree house.”
Guests will enjoy this magnificent peaceful space amongst the tree tops, as a romantic get-away, a small family retreat destination, or even a remote work/school location.
Guests will find plenty of bar work space, a comfy queen size bed, thick queen size futon, a cozy loft for children to play, read or sleep, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, a therapeutic steam shower, washer and dryer, and a large deck to enjoy outside dining with incredible panoramic views of the mountains and its wildlife residents. Wireless Internet service (a dedicated radio tower delivers the fastest speed in the area). Online streamed Netflix movies are also available to guests.
Just outside the door, guests will find immediate access to State Land mountain trails using a recreational day use permit, and nearby access to rafting put-ins along the Swan River. Guests are also invited to share the beautiful surrounding grounds, a lovely waterfall studded pond, tree swing, hammock, and private mountain bike trails.
We invite people to retreat from their every day lives into the wilderness and forested sanctuary we have created at the edge of the Swan Mountain Range amongst the Northern Rockies. We encourage our guests to unplug from their urban lives so that they might reconnect with their best selves, their loved ones and their source of inspiration. Our natural sanctuary is ideal for reflection and introspection and to reset intentions for answering your soul’s calling. We're especially interested in providing a peaceful and inspirational space for those pursuing creative projects and a desire to connect with the natural world.

Lisa is awesome. The Treehouse was wonderful and we look forward to coming back in the future. This is the most well stocked accurate VRBO listing we have ever stayed at up till now. Thanks for the great experience!
What a hidden gem! It was a perfect spot for our weekend travel for a wedding in Big Fork. The place was spotless, beds were comfortable, location was great (not only for the wedding but for hiking Jewel Basin - we drove to the trailhead) and wooded setting was relaxing. Lisa was wonderful to work with from start to finish. Would stay again!
The Treehouse far exceeded expectations! Host was wonderful with great communication. Convenient to airport and Glacier National Park yet secluded, private location. Rental had everything we needed and more. Would love to come back.

Beautiful Treehouse in the Woods
This beautiful treehouse in the woods is a great little getaway. Although the property is a little ways outside of the center of town, it provides a really private and peaceful retreat. The owners went out of their way to be helpful and accommodate our needs.

We had a great time. We loved the surrounding forest and the backdrop of the mountains. It was so quiet and peaceful. The Treehouse is absolutely charming. The woodsy interior made the cabin so cozy. The kitchen was a chef's dream. The steam shower was so relaxing. The bath was stocked with high quality sundries.I took off one star for the lack of paper towels, no dishwasher soap, no Kleenex and we barely had enough toilet paper. All in all, the Treehouse is a great place to get away and relax.
We really enjoyed our stay in the treehouse. High end accommodations with comfortable mattress, amazing shower, great kitchen for cooking and AC. We loved the secluded location and with the windows shut, the dog barking did not bother us at all. Internet was enough for the TV and the house had basic things like toilet paper, paper towel, coffee filters and hairdryer. We appreciated that. We didn’t love having to take the trash with us when leaving but the drop off was on our way to the airport.
Overall, we would gladly return for another stay and loved our secluded, private stay!

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bigfork, honestly!
My husband and I wanted to visit Glacier National Park for our 1 year wedding Anniversary. After doing some research and figuring out what town we wanted to stay in we were so excited to find "The Treehouse". Upon arrival we were so surprised on the quality and upgrades to the inside of the tree house. The shower is a steam shower with two shower heads, it was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The views were AMAZING! Even the futon was comfortable. If we were headed back to Bigfork, or even a surrounding area, we would plan our trip around the availability of "The Treehouse". I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! :)

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! It's lovely to watch Spring time bring back the green on and around the property. We hope you will return again sometime in the summer to enjoy our trout filled pond & waterfall, or in the winter for some cross country skiing! Of course, the Fall brings gorgeous colors to the Tamaracks & other surrounding plant life! Bottom line is - please come back!

Sweet little studio apartment
surrounded by forest. Absolutely gorgeous area of MT. Very relaxing with a comfortable bed, nice little kitchen and WONDERFUL steam shower! Accommodating hosts but they didn't intrude at all. We enjoyed the fresh eggs. My only complaints were that we were greeted by some almost dead geranium plants and not very tidy pathway. I tried to water them everyday we were there to try to revive them and they looked a little better when we left. The place looked in need of a professional mow job. Also I reached into the pet yard to scratch the goat's nose and was badly shocked by the electric fence. There really needs to be a sign informing guests that the fence is electric. (There is a small note in the info notebook but it has no warnings about not touching the goat and the fence at the same time. Yikes!!)
All in all it was a nice place to stay.

Our hearts are always so full when we hear how much our guests have enjoyed the Treehouse and this property! It is very special even though somewhat wild and natural rather than perfectly manicured. Our bantam chickens love to scratch and peck beside the walkway and since we don't want to disturb our guests, we wait for a break in occupancy to sweep, mow, and pot new plants. Since we have been booked solid and the grass grows quickly, things may have been more unkempt than usual. We are also sorry to hear the electric fence zapped you! Typically, our guests pet the goats over the shorter gates that are not electrified. We will be posting signs so guests will be alerted beyond the Rental Agreement and Welcome Letter content. Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestions!
Perfect central location if you are planning on going site seeing in the area including Glacier Park- everything is less than an hours drive. The property is well equipped and very quite- full kitchen allowed us to make our meals and snacks. The steam shower was new to us, fantastic! This was our home away from home for a week, we had a great time. If you decide you may want a prepared hot meal and a drink or two, the “A Bar” less than a mile up the road is the place to be.

The Treehouse was a great place to find solitude in a beautiful area. We loved its open- spaced living areas. Especially enjoyed were breakfasts at the small kitchen-area table in front of the large windows overlooking the grassy yard and tall evergreens and dinners out- of- doors on the deck with the moon shining through the forest. We were conveniently located for exploring the area around Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park.
Originally from Southern California, we moved to this 20 acre property to create a quiet self sufficient and sustainable life for our small family.
Why they chose this property
This property is incredibly special and uniquely showcases the majestic qualities of each season. We love the variety of wildlife traversing the land, including deer, elk, moose, foxes, bobcat, raccoon, squirrels, bald eagles, ducks, geese, hawks, herons, owls and many other birds, most notably the wild swan. White Tail Deer tend to be the most common but are the most lovely and peaceful sighting. Occasionally, bear, wolf, and mountain lion are seen but our big guardian dogs keep these larger predators off our property.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with this beautiful private property, the wilderness setting, and its unique craftsman style structures, and you will too!
