Beautiful lakefront home on Sun Valley Lake

This is a beautiful lake front home on Sun Valley Lake in Ellston, IA. We have arguably one of the best views on the entire lake and a brand new large deck to enjoy it from.

Home has 4 fully furnished bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 11 but can accommodate more people on the reclining couches and an extra queen size mattress that is stored under one of the beds. Wifi, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and all the amenities included. BOAT NOT INCLUDED & NO BOAT RENTALS AVAILABLE (THIS IS A PRIVATE LAKE) we DO have 2 adult kayaks, 2 children's kayaks, a giant maui mat, a private beach, lawn games, and sand toys available to use.

🔘NO PETS ALLOWED (small dogs will be considered by request)
🔘NO Fishing (Lake association rules)
🔘NO outside boats allowed or available to rent (Lake association rules)
🔘Additional $25 per person per day for each adult past 6 adults

*Under deck paved patio with additional outside seating & outdoor fan
*2 Living Room areas both with flat screen smart TVs
* Full sized bar & ping pong table in the WALK OUT basement
* Fire pit and lots of seating in the back yard
*4 Bedrooms: Master with queen size bed, Upstairs bunk room with 2 bunks beds (4 twin beds), basement bedroom with queen bed, and one basement bunk room with a queen bed & twin bunk over)
*2 Bathrooms (one with a full size bath tub and one with a stand up shower)
*Portable Crib & kitchen booster available for your use as well
*Dishwasher, Fridge, Stove, & Microwave all available and brand new in 2017
*All furniture and finishing's updated in 2017

We had a fantastic experience at this property! The hosts were absolutely wonderful, friendly, professional, and incredibly prompt with their responses, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The home itself was as described, and offered plenty of space for our group to spread out. The amenities were excellent and thoughtfully provided, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped place to stay!

Amazing stay

A beautiful lake home that was just perfect for our family get together. There was plenty of room with so many great amenities, ie kayaks, floating toys, sand toys, a Maui mat, etc. The house was fully stocked & the beds were comfortable. The owners were so easy to contact & so helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this stay.

Girls weekend

Quick get away trip for myself and some girlfriends. Property had everything we needed to just relax. There isn’t much to do around the area, which was just fine by us! We used the kayaks, took walks around the lake and voted the local clubhouse (which had really good food!)! It was great for what we needed, to just get away and relax!

Truly comfortable lake stay!

This was truly a perfect weekend getaway! The amenities included kept us busy all weekend. We kayaked, swam, used so many of the water toys, had a campfire, and grilled! The house is so comfortable to spread out in with thoughtful touches everywhere. The owners truly go out of their way to make you feel welcome and relaxed! Great for families!!

Family fun

We were having a moment in family reunion at Sun Val lol ey Lake. When we have visited family in the past we have driven 30-45 minutes to spend the night in a hotel. This was so much closer (10 minutes). Plenty of space to spread out and just chill. Didn’t cook much at the house but the kitchen was well stocked. Very enjoyable to get up and look out at this beautiful lake.. Hosts were very responsive to our inquiries. We would definitely return if we had more people in our party.

For a relaxing week on the water...

My family enjoyed a most relaxing week on the water. The lake was quiet, allowing freedom to swim, kayak, or just float at our leisure, broken up only by ice cream and movie breaks. The dock with slide and Maui mat provided hours of fun for the kids allowing mom and dad the chance to float, visit, or chill in the deck chairs uninterrupted. I may or may not have finished two books while there. The house was plenty spacious, clean, and well stocked. We didn’t have to leave for town once. The comfy living rooms were much appreciated for crashing at night before bed. Owners were very responsive to all questions beforehand and to the few we had during the week. Would absolutely go back, just for a chance to start every day with a French press of coffee on their fantastic deck looking over the lake.

Beautiful lakeside getaway

This is the second summer we have stayed at this property at Sun Valley lake. So relaxing and perfect for our family and small kids. Very low key and quite! My husband and I had to work a few hours each day and the WiFi quality was great. The kids loved the Maui mat and played at the beach every day. Lots of memories made!

Relaxing Week at the Lake

The house was great for our family. We especially liked the kayaks, Maui Mat, deck, two living spaces and and gorgeous lake views. Our host,Stefanie, was always available if we had a question and the access to the property was flawless. A very relaxing week.

Family time at the lake

Nice Lakefront Stay for Family Vacation

We stayed here Monday-Friday for a family vacation. We loved the outdoor space and the associated amenities ; the large yard, dock, Maui mat, kayaks, fire pit, and the beach! It was also nice to have a large outdoor table for all of us to eat meals together. The lake is calm and not crowded during the week. The only downside of that is the closest restaurants and stores hold weekend-only hours, so be sure to bring what you need! There were a couple necessities we did have to run to Mt Ayr and get (tin foil, plastic wrap, paper towels, etc) but I understand it’s difficult to keep up with such things when renting! The basement bedrooms are definitely basement-like, but the pro of that is they are dark and cool. The bathroom is attached to one of them, but it’s finished nicely. The host was very kind and all communication we had both before and during our trip was timely and pleasant. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here! *note: as of June 2021 the house next door is under construction! Nothing the owners can do about this and no fault of theirs, but just a heads up! There was some noise but it didn’t bother us much. A weekend stay probably wouldn’t be affected at all.

AMAZING LAKE HOUSE

We were very happy with this lake house. you can tell the owners put much time and effort into making this lake house fun and comfortable. Each room was decorated and theme was very present throughout. We enjoyed the kayaks and sitting on the dock. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, 10/10 would recommend

Great family vacation

Great family vacation. Perfect setting for a long weekend with the family. We were able to enjoy the fire pit in the backyard and some kayaking. The house was a perfect size for three small families. Has all amenities you could need. This was our second stay. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Great Lake House

We stayed here meeting up with extended family for a spring break trip. It would be GREAT in the summer when you could swim at the lake! We enjoyed our time even though the weather was a little cold. The house had enough room for our two families -- a pack 'n play and high chair were available to use for our baby. On the warmest day of our stay we let kids ride their bikes outside and played at the beach on the property. The house was clean and as pictured. The downstairs was considerably cooler than the upstairs, each floor has two bedrooms. The downstairs bathroom is connected to the bunk room downstairs, just FYI. The downstairs bathroom was recently remodeled and worked great. The internet didn't work for us, but the owner said that is not the norm. We didn't mind being "unplugged" for the weekend. The kitchen had nice appliances and dishes available to use. We'd consider staying again but will try to come when we can definitely play in the water!

Great lake getaway

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday here with our immediate family. The lake was incredibly peaceful and the home had everything we needed. We had beautiful views of the sunrise each morning and enjoyed the fire pit at night. The house was very clean and well maintained.

Beautiful in September!

We had a great stay with family friends. The kids had so much fun with the toys, Maui mat, slide and kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked and Stefanie replied quickly to our questions. The weather in mid-late September couldn’t have been more perfect!

Wonderful house and hosts!
