About this property
The Downtown Miners Cabin
✦ Welcome to a piece of Montana history, located right in downtown Helena. This miners cabin was built in 1870, and is one of the oldest homes in Helena.
✦ With hiking and biking trails right out of the backyard, stylish and beautiful rooms, this is the perfect home for your Montana getaway.
✦ Our home is fully updated, modern, and packed full of amenities — hiking & biking trails on Mount Helena literally right out our backyard, 5 min walk to downtown restaurants and shops, 3 smart TV’s, 5 separate bedrooms (4 Kings and 1 Queen), AC for the summer, and updated heating for the winter.
✧ Minor Things to Note
- Bedroom 2 is separate from the main house. It is a smaller cabin on the property next to the outdoor dining area and propane fire pit. The cabin is beautiful, historic, and cozy, but you will need to walk about 15 feet outside to get into the main house.
- The basement bedroom is only accessible by entering through another bedroom, which is the charm of an older home.
- We have two private parking spaces on our main driveway (two cars can fit if parked tightly). There is more public street parking right across the street.
- We have an upstairs bedroom and living room, which are only accessible by using fairly steep stairs. The stairs are pretty easy to get up and down with the handrail, but might be slightly difficult for older folks. Again, an old house thing!
