About this property

Winnipecabin - Lovely log cabin w/ water access & hot tub - close to everything!

This is our family vacation home located at Lake Winnipesaukee, just a mile from Weirs Beach and a short 7 miles to Gunstock Mountain! Super location that gives amazing access to everything the Lake Region has to offer!

This is a true log cabin (aptly named Winnipecabin by our little boys) with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large fenced backyard, hot tub, and more! The cabin is just 500 feet (4th house up the street) from the lake on a dead end street with shared access (approx. 25 feet wide) to easily drop a kayak, swim, float, or ice fish in the winter!

The master bedroom is upstairs and boasts a queen size bed with twin bunks, television, and a full bathroom. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, each with a full bed and another full bathroom with full-size washer and dryer.

The main living area is open concept with kitchen, dining, and living room areas. The living room has a cozy gas burning stove and television with Amazon FireStick and a Netflix account.

The cabin has a large back porch that runs the length of the cabin and has a hot tub for those cooler nights, gas grill, and chairs for lounging.

Stepping down from the porch, the backyard is level and very spacious with plenty of room for yard games! Bring corn hole, horseshoes, kanjam, etc and feel free to use the fire pit when the sun gets low and marshmallow cravings hit your party!

There is a large driveway with plenty of parking.

The location can't be beat, super close to everything. There is plenty to do in any season with such great access to the lake and skiing and everything else the region has to offer!

We hope you will enjoy our vacation cabin as much as our family does and we're happy to share it with you!

Note: in the event the hot tub becomes unavailable due to breakdown or repair not caused by the guest, the maximum daily refund is $70 for loss of use. The hot tub is a new model and is meticulously and professionally maintained, this has never occurred.

Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad and Meredith Historical Society are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Gunstock Mountain Resort and Winnipesaukee Pier. Kellerhaus and Funspot Family Fun Center are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain biking nearby.

We loved our stay at the Winnepecabin! The location is great with just a quick stroll to the lake, and the kitchen and hot tub were perfect for hanging with friends and catching up. Tons of amazing hiking nearby made for a perfect fall getaway. Our only complaint was that we didn’t stay longer to spend more time enjoying the cabin! Wendy was super responsive to all of our questions and so well-prepared with all of the information we needed. We will be back!

Great trip to the cabin

Hosts were very responsive to all our questions and super helpful. The cabin was great, clean, had all the necessities we needed and the hot tub was great to come back to at night. Wish we had longer to enjoy all the things, would love to book the cabin again in the future!

Gathering of friends

This cabin in the suburbs was a great location for old friends to meet up in the middle of winter from all over New England. The check in process was easy, the place was clean and inviting, and the hot tub was just what we wanted. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen. It lists a bunk bed, but it was actually 2 fulls and a mattress in the closet.. which was fine for us. The lake is just a few houses away and I assume you have access (it was a very windy cold weekend, so we couldn’t enjoy that part). The neighborhood was quiet, but I’m sure that may not be the case in the summer, but the parking and privacy was good at the house.

Great cozy cabin for a weekend at the lake!

Beautiful location and home

The property is small, but the house is gorgeous. If you’re looking for the log cabin experience, you found it here. It is close to the water there are kayaks to use. Also, it’s very close to all the excitement downtown! So many things to do we really couldn’t do them all in a few days we were there, but it would highly recommend the tiki boats. It was so much fun ask for Steve he’s a sweetie.

Great Family Friendly House Near Gunstock!

Our family of 6, including 4 kids (4-11), had an amazing time. Close to Gunstock with nearby access to restaurants and grocery stores. The house was super clean with nice amenities to keep the kiddos entertained! They were sad to leave. Looking forward to staying again the future!

Quick hiking getaway

We are an adventurous family of 5 hailing from Connecticut. Native's of Nebraska and Boston, we met on Grand Cayman island in our early 20's and never looked back. Since then we've added a few kids and our awesome log cabin up at Lake Winnipesaukee that our boys named Winnipecabin.

Why they chose this property

Wendi spent many nights in her childhood up at Winnipesaukee and Bobby, being from the midwest, often visited the large lakes in the Ozarks and Table Rock. When it came time to find the perfect spot for our family to get away to we found it in Winnipecabin and especially considering the insane amount of activities the Lake Region has to offer!

What makes this property unique

I mean, it's a log cabin. There's something special and warm about a log home that we really wanted to have as a part of our family. Whether we walk up from a kayak at the cabin's water access or warm up by the fireplace or in the new Sundance Spa hot tub after skiing and snowboarding all day at Gunstock, the cabin is a cozy place to bring a family together.
