The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
PLEASE Leave the Cottage as you found it. Linens, towels, bedding all must be laundered on your check out day. Remake all the beds used during your stay with clean bedding.
Trash must be bagged and placed in the Plastic Bin. Take the Bid to the End of the drive way for a Monday Morning Pickup.
Turn all lights off. Turn the Mini Splits Off. And Make Sure to Turn Well Pump Breaker Off. Make sure to close the sliding door and lock it and use the 2x2 door stop in the track. Please lock deadbolt
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quite time for outdoor activities such as load voices, music Sand toys running etc. Similar to a Camp Ground 10PM to 8AM. Be respectful to neighbors

The trailer was old but can be fixed up with new deck and maybe new siding. The kitchen was more than supplied with dishes and pans. Very clean. Master bed could be upgraded. There is an ORV two doors down which worked on vehicles up to midnight on Friday night. Pool was closed and unfortunately that is one of the reasons I rented there. Getting too old to walk the dunes. Great chicken place across the street.

Found lots after the fact way newer and nicer for the same price or close to it. Being right behind the atv rental kinda sucks you have to listen to them firing up and reving all day. The cottage had character and reminded me of my old buddy's grandpa's lake cottage but seemed like it hadn't had a good deep cleaning in awhile. Biggest turn off was the required laundry and making the beds again. Not how I wanted to spend my last day of vacation. Had to cancel my plans do to washer and dryer issues the day we were leaving and woke up 3hrs early than I wanted to trying to get all the beds washed and back together so I could leave on time.

We are 4th generation Dunner. My Grandpa was raised in Hart and they had a cottage out in front of the Dunes. He moved it from in front of the dunes when he was just out of high school. To keep it from getting buried by the shifting sand. He would go across the dunes to the south end to meet and date the Lighthouse keepers daughter. My Grandpa even helped Mac Woods go out and Test ride the first Dune Scooter Rides. To make sure they where safe. To test them from rolling over. We have been coming to SLSD all our life. I started dunning when I was 16 with a Jeep and then a Corvair powered Sand Rail before I graduated high school.

There are so many things to do for family entertainment. Dunning, Go-Carts, Putt-Putt Golf, Chicken Shack, The Light House - Little Point Sable. Mac Woods Dune Rides. The List goes ON and ON.
