About the host

Hosted by David Hollyday

Host profile image
I grew up in Nashville, but have called Charleston my home for half my life. I enjoy the laid back vibe of this city and my home here. I love meeting new people and hosting guests, showing them true Southern Charm, and helping them get the most out of their experience! I was an AirBnB SuperHost pre-COVID, and am happy to once again be opening my doors to guests at the Hollyday House.

Why they chose this property

The Byrnes Downs neighborhood was built in the mid 1940's and one of the first subdivisions south of historic Charleston. Safe and clean, the bungalows all feature brick, plaster, and hardwood floors. The neighborhood is popular with the local medical community, as well as first time home buyers looking for a great location to downtown.

What makes this property unique

My well kept home exudes character. I'm a sailor, so the house is decorated with a nautical vibe, as well as a green thumb, so expect fresh flowers (and chicken eggs!) during your stay. Very safe, and very clean.
