We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in downtown Summerville! The location was perfect—close to everything while still feeling peaceful and cozy. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like a home away from home. Most of all, the hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. Their hospitality truly made our stay special. We would absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

We thought the cottage itself was really nice. Very well decorated and accurate from the photos. I think the listing could've been more clear about the property layout though. It's on a corner of two busy main streets (noisy) which also made it tricky to get into the driveway during busier times. The cottage is basically in the side yard of a larger home (which wasn't really clear from the photos) and didn't feel very private. Two tall windows facing the pool and the main house had no blinds or anything so the only privacy was really inside the bedroom or bathroom. We had planned on bringing our grandkids over to swim during our stay but it would've been uncomfortable since the pool is at the main house, not really for the cottage.Another thing not mentioned before check in day was they hold bible study at the main house a couple times a week and we weren't able to get to the cottage between 6 and 8:45pm the night before checkout because of a full driveway with nowhere left to park, we ended up driving around for 15 minutes until it let out.We really loved the cottage itself and felt like the owners were welcoming, but I wouldn't stay there again with the privacy concerns.

Thank you for your comments - I do want potential guests to be very aware that this cottage is in the downtown historic district, which is in the middle of the hustle and bustle. And of course, as a secondary dwelling unit, the cottage is in my yard, as is required by our town ordinances for all short term rentals. The pool is also my own pool, which I am happy for our guests to enjoy while my husband and I are at work during the day. I appreciate your clarity for future guests!
