Completely redone in 2012, the house is comfortable, bright and airy. It is nestled in a secluded setting with ocean views and pond access via private dock. Great yard for children to run and play, cookouts and badminton games. The salt pond is perfect for all types of water activities, swimming and crabbing. There are two private beaches in Weekapaug just a five minute drive away (car pass and 6 beach buttons provided), or hop across the pond by boat to an unpopulated stretch of beautiful beach. Fabulous location to access all South County has to offer!

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous house! It is beautifully designed and all furnishings and decor were perfect. It was the ideal place to have an extended family gathering. The yard is stunning and the views of the pond and ocean beyond were captivating. We look forward to returning!
This is our third visit to this property; we love the location on a salt pond with access to Atlantic beaches. The fire-it is also much used and appreciated. The house is large enough to accommodate our family and everyone loves being there!
Wonderful family vacation spot. Options to swim at a beautiful ocean beach or off the dock on a salt pond. Evenings around the fire pit, lawn games, and barbecues rounded out the activities for our three generation family.
We and the dogs had a great stay at Whale Watch! The yard and salt pond access were the stars of our week. Karen is very accessible and helpful. Would love to stay again
House is perfectly situated for a beach vacation, so close to Fenway Beach. We were a group of seven adults and an infant. Bedrooms were generous and we loved having three bathrooms. The variety of living spaces worked well for us and the kitchen well equipped.
My family and I enjoyed our stay so much. The house is warm, welcoming, and huge, with plenty of space for little ones to play and explore. The property was dreamy. I only wish we could have enjoyed the outdoors more but the mosquitos were intolerable. Karen was super responsive and helpful!
We had a wonderful time at Whale’s Watch. The house and grounds were better than expected for our large, extended family. We didn’t want to leave as we were so happy and comfortable. We needlessly packed a lot because we found practically everything we could have wanted or needed was well provided. The views were beautiful and all ages found a perfect niche. The younger adults loved the fire pit every night. We were a stone’s throw and afforded access to our beloved Weekapaug. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful Haversham property. Loved looking at all the art and family pictures too! We are Quonnie fans, for sure!
Our group had a great time at this rental. The house was perfect for us, including both sleeping and hangout space. The kitchen had all the essentials needed to cook a variety of meals - and we did. The outdoor spaces were the best part, though. The yard was a blast to play around in and it seemed like there was never a time when someone wasn’t down at the dock, either in one of the boats, swimming or just enjoying the quiet.
The surrounding area also kept us busy with enough things leftover that we’d have plenty for a return trip. Overall it was a very successful trip for our group and the rental played a big part in that
This was our second time at Whale’s Watch. The home is very charming and the location is wonderful. We loved the unique and beautiful setting and the owner is awesome.
We stayed at Whale’s Watch for a week. The cleanliness, privacy, the large backyard, fire pit, and private dock furnished us with the perfect summer setting for our family to windsurf, kayak, and enjoy meals together. Karen gets an A-plus for being a wonderful and responsive host. We look forward to returning. Thank you, Karen!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Swimming, kayaking, time on the beach, s’mores around the fire pit, lawn games and exploring all that this part of Rhode Island has to offer kept our family group happy; we hated to leave!
We picked this property because it had access to the Weekapaug beaches but we ended up loving the house because of its peaceful setting, beautiful yard and private dock. We made use of all the beach toys, chairs (though all but two chairs could be updated), and kayaks/canoe that were at the house and dock. Overall, it was so nice for my family to reconnect to the Weekapaug area after going here since our childhood. We would definitely stay again in the future!
I love this place so much I almost don't want to write a review because I want it to be our secret spot. The house is amazing, lots of fun games for the kids, a swing and a beautiful yard. The house has everything you could need. Having a private dock and ability to get over to a private beach is our favorite. We would do dock at high tide and we would paddleboard (we brought our own) or kayak and swim. At lower tide, we would head over to beach and have more privacy than I ever thought possible in the Northeast. This was our second stay here and the communication with the owner is always prompt and helpful. Schedule permitting, we will definitely go back.
My family and I had an amazing time at this property. The owner was amazing and very helpful. In Weekapague we normally stay closer to Fenway beach but If you don’t mind a car ride to the beach and are looking for a fantastic private home I would highly recommend this house
Traveled with family and a couple very close family friends stayed for 1 night. House is beautiful. The dock is awesome. We kayaked, biked and drove to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.
We had an amazing week. Having the private dock and access to kayaks was so cool. You can kayak over to a beach and have lots of space in an amazing setting. Swimming at the private dock was just as fun. House has
Everything you could ever need. Yard was beautiful and the kids LOVED the swing.
What a perfect home for our multi-generational vacation. Exceeded our expectations in every way, from the very well appointed kitchen, the ample space for 10, the many thoughtful touches throughout this lovely space inside and out. We've done a lot of VRBO etc stays, and this one was a hit for all of us. Highly recommend a stay here.

outstanding in every way
First of all the house itself is incredibly unique.. It is like a treasure trove of family and antiques throughout, yet homey and welcoming at the same time. Having access to the salt water pond was so much more than I realized. I fell in love with kayaking. So relaxing. And to be able to row over to the other side then walk to a private beach without sitting elbow to elbow next to people was both a delight and adventure. The grandchildren, ages 6 and 3, certainly made use of the yard. They loved the swing and the zip line. They also loved the rocks and the firepit. They would go into the rocks and play imaginary games. The yard, for us, was like a babysitter. I could go on forever but this house is has so much to offer. It was perfect for our family get-together. Thank you so much Karen!

Feels like a family's home, not a rental property.
Pros: privacy, a path to the pond with a dock, a nice lawn for kids to play. Well-equipped kitchen and in a great town - beaches are great. Fenway Beach has a cute little sandwich/breakfast & lunch restaurant across the street.
Con: need a car to access the beaches, and the bathroom is a port-a-potty.

Wish we were still in Haversham
We enjoyed our 2 weeks in Haversham! We swam, dove and flipped from the dock, paddled on the pond, and canoed across the pond to the beach. We rented for two weeks and our kids were able to participate in the Weekapaug YC sailing program. We used the beach buttons and parking passes to go to the Inn Beach which is 2 miles long and is incredible for running, walking, beach games, skim boarding and swimming. Some days, we drove to Fenway Beach because we took many toys to boogie board in the waves, also great for skim boarding. The kids took surf lessons four mornings at Fenway Beach. We also went mountain biking at Burlingame, just a 10 minute drive away. We enjoyed restaurants in Westerly and Stonington. And, we ventured to the Weekapaug Inn after the beach a couple days for drinks, appetizers and games of shuffleboard and bocce. The house had everything we needed to grill and eat at home. We enjoyed bonfires. And the Cowles kindly left s'more fixings! Thank you for sharing your home. We want to spend more time in RI on the pond and at the beach next year!!

Why they chose this property
