Summer Wind Beach House!

Gather together for an amazing time with family and friends! Light and bright 3800 sf open floor plan. Central air, fireplace, 7 TV's and 4 1/2 baths. Incredible entertainment room with kitchen, 60" TV, pool table, video library, Direct TV, Netflix and board games.
There is something for everyone to enjoy in the area. Multiple beaches 1.5 miles away that have free concerts, drive in movies and car shows. Try some water sports, bike riding, mini golf, go karts or batting cages. Rotary Park has 4 tennis courts, beach volley ball, basketball and playgrounds. Visit Watch Hill for a walk on Napa Tree Point. Kids can go for a ride on the historic Watch Hill Flying Horse Carousel then share some pizza and ice cream. Try some golf nearby, maybe a fishing charter, whale watching or a tour of the lighthouses. Visit the many farmers markets and wineries. Take a ride to Narragansett and see Judith Point Lighthouse then catch the ferry to Block Island for lunch and rent some scooters. Enjoy a day in Newport and eat, shop, visit the mansions or take a walk on the cliff walk. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos are very close. Take in the beauty of Mystic Aquarium and Seaport or perhaps go to the incredible restaurants in Mystic as well as nearby Stonington. Nature enthusiasts Ninigret Park in Charlestown only miles away! A 227-acre park features a state-of-the-art playground, ball fields, ten-speed bike course, tennis and basketball courts, picnic areas and a freshwater swimming pond with public beach and hiking as well as the Frosty Drew Conservatory. Whatever activities you enjoy everything is close enough to have fun filled days and star filled nights to make great memories!

Summer Wind was a beautiful, well- maintained home! Gene met us at the property and walked us through, explaining everything we needed to know for our stay. He was also quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. The kids and teens loved the basement area with all of the games and entertainment. They also loved the bunk room! We all enjoyed the large fenced in backyard and all of the patio spaces. The beds, couches, and chairs were so comfortable. We appreciated the proximity to downtown shops, big name stores, restaurants, parks, and beaches. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Summer Wind!

Our multigenerational family had a wonderful time at Summerwind and in Westerly, in general. The house was spacious and very accommodating for the elders as well as the 20 somethings and everyone in between. We loved going to the beach and walking around the park in town. Some of the amenities were older and in need of updating, but we were pleased overall.

This house was a family favorite. It was spacious and able to hold 11 adults comfortably. The basement was a secret hideaway with a bar, pool table, video game system, large tv, and arcade console. The outside area was perfect for gathering after going to the beach. Unfortunately we didn't get to use the pizza oven but that is also an added bonus. Gene met us on the day we arrived and was very accommodating and answered all our questions about the Rhode Island area.

Superb outdoor space and great attention to detail. The hosts have beach towels and chairs that they allow guests to use, which saved us a ton of trunk space while packing. There are multiple options for coffee, including an espresso maker we took advantage of. Everything in the kitchen is clearly labeled and organized. The outdoor shower, barbecue and bocce court were all great. The state beach is about a 10 minute drive away.

Summer Wind is the perfect house for my family and me to create memorable moments. This is our fourth year staying at this fabulous property. The house is spacious and well equipped, and only a few miles from the beach. We already are looking forward to returning next year.

Friends vacation

This house is beautiful and well equipped. Lots of beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, coolers, corn hole, and beach cart. You need to bring absolutely nothing for beach equipment. So close to Newport, Block Island, Watch Hill, restaurants and bars. Basement was lots of fun! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely home and garden, an excellent quiet neighborhood to walk around, and a very safe location. A few amenities were a little outdated and disappointing but everything else was excellent and we had a great time.

Great Family Space

Great Escape

This is the third summer we have returned to Summer Wind. This home is a perfect getaway for my family. It is spacious, clean, well stocked and conveniently located to Westerly attractions. We made many fun family memories while staying in this lovely home.

Great For Families

We had a great week at Summer Wind. House is very nicely appointed and has everything you need for a fun time with family. Plenty of games, movies, beach accessories and more! Loved the outdoor gathering and grill areas. Definitely recommended for anyone wanting a restful and fun stay in Westerly.

Ocean State getaway !

Wonderful week at Summer Wind

This was our second trip to Summer Wind. Our extended family of 13 had a wonderful week. The house again lived up to our expectations. Many amenities and space for all of us! Thanks to Gene and Suzanne who are wonderful hosts.

Wonderful Home for Large Families

Gene and Suzanne are excellent hosts. The house is super clean and family friendly . The yard is awesome. Basement has plenty of space for sleeping and games….pool, ping pong and tv and a great bar area. Close to beaches and shopping. Great place for our family to vacation. We love it and so do our teenagers!

Perfect - Over the Top

Everything was perfect, from meeting with Gene to go over the property to anything and everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Can't say enough good about our hosts, the property and all the additional stuff to make the stay perfect for all ages. One of the grandchildren asked her mon if they could just stay there forever. :)!
