We had a wonderful time at this spacious home. It was exactly as listed. It was clean, well appointed and the host was very responsive. We especially enjoyed the pool and the close proximity to New Buffalo shops, restaurants and beach.

Property was as described. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and utensils. There were amble towels and the bedding was very comfortable. Pool was great and the deck was spacious. Overall - a really good place for our family.Only issue was the hot tub - a pump was not functioning. The repair team came out quickly and addressed the issue. Only other observation is that the yard was pretty overgrown - it could use some attention. That, however, had no bearing on our experience.

The stay was excellent and the property is highly recommended. A few minor cosmetic issues (one kitchen cabinet was missing its door). The hot tub’s breaker was also tripped on arrival and needed to be reset to bring it up to temperature.Overall a wonderful property and would absolutely stay here again.

Had a wonderful stay here with a large group of friends. We took advantage of nearly all the amenities (hot tub, pool, grill, outdoor space), and everything was great.One item of note about the location: there is supposedly some rule that ride-share drivers are not allowed to drive people back from Michigan to Indiana. This caused us some minor trouble one of our evenings. Something to keep in mind.

I would recommend this house. Good location. Great pool. House worked well for three families. Would have given 5 stars except for a couple problems. 1. Microwave stopped working the second day. Called and they said they would come to fix it later that day. It was not fixed for the rest of our stay and no feedback from them. I asked for location of circuit breakers, but they did not know where they were located. 2. On the day have check in we called and they said since the home is located very close to the Michigan state line which is Central Standard Time Zone we could have checked in an hour earlier. We would have arranged our arrival time to do this had we known. 3. Sent several messages to them and they did not reply. Had to call them on the phone. I would recommend calling.

The house accommodated our needs well enough and is in great proximity to downtown New Buffalo, but is in need of some TLC, a deep clean, and some small house accommodations that could’ve made the stay less cumbersome without much extra effort (eg dish soap, more seating in family room, better organized kitchen to find things- all little things). The pool had some issues - wasn’t completely full when we arrived and heater wasn’t on - we still went in, but wasn’t as enjoyable. The power went off from a storm Friday night around 730pm, and we were without power until 530am the next day- not the host’s fault at all, but we reached out for guidance/help and no one responded. We also asked for early check in and the host did not respond to our request with an answer either way. All in all, it was a great weekend away spent with family, but I don’t think I’d rent this particular house again.

Regarding the pool, a repair/cleaning was scheduled on the day of your arrival, and our pool technician returned the following morning after the storms had passed to finish the work and ensure everything was operating properly. We apologize that the pool was not in ideal condition when you arrived and understand how that impacted your enjoyment. We also apologize for the lack of communication during the severe storm-related power outage. While the outage itself was beyond anyone's control, we understand that guests look to us for guidance during unexpected situations. The home is equipped with a backup generator that powers essential systems, including refrigeration, air conditioning, and select lighting circuits, but we recognize that we should have been more responsive and communicative that evening. Thank you again for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you had a great family weekend overall, and we'll use your comments to continue improving the guest experience.

Perfect for a summer girls’ weekend

We rented this house for a girls’ weekend and it was wonderful. The pool was so beautiful and well maintained, and the temperature was great. You really feel secluded at the house because there are a lot of trees and greenery, which makes it very relaxing. Girls enjoyed the mile or so walk to the beach, and in new buffalo we enjoyed nice restaurants, shopping and bars. Inside the house was clean and well furnished. The beds were comfortable. We would absolutely recommend this place and these hosts again!

Gracious Space, Inside and Out

We had a lovely time with teen and preteen grandkids and their parents (who needed to work several hours each day). The pool and hot tub were great pastimes, and a local gokart-bumper-car and trampoline-basketball place was hilarious. The kitchen is amazingly outfitted and the generous grill was super because we do love to cook! And I have never slept in a better bed in a B and B. Riptides kept us off the beach, but we found plenty to do and hope to return next year.

The house itself is very nice and a cool layout. We used this for my bachelorette party so the pool and hot tub were very nice. However, it was not very clean on the inside. My mom found a glow stick in her bed upon arrival so I’m not sure it was properly cleaned because we did not have glow sticks. Also, we found a sock and toothpaste that was not ours under one of the beds. This was disappointing because it is expensive so it’d be nice if it was cleaned properly. It worked for the few days and did accommodate our group well.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest at this cute place, biking distance to the lake! Host is amazing. Pool is just perfect, part shade and just lovely. Pool heater wasn’t working when we arrived but they fixed the problem promptly. Lots of extra linens for our large group.
