Relaxing Getaway on Mt Hood - Right on the River!

Comfortable cabin on Mt Hood, in Welches, right on the Salmon River and directly across the street from golf at The Mt. Hood Resort. One level, no stairs. Two bedrooms, two full baths and a patio and deck to relax on and take it easy listening to and watching the river below. Main bedroom has a Queen. Guest bedroom has a Queen plus a set of bunks. Sleeps 6, plus two large couches in the living room.
Linens included, as well as towels and firewood for the warm and cozy wood stove. New Washer & Dryer, Microwave, and wireless internet included.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked, and we had no issues while we were there. Communication was always quick and clear. They were really helpful and accommodating. The sound of the river was our favorite part. We will love to have another stay in the future.

Very nice place to relax. The cabin has a good location. It's a few minutes drive to a store or other businesses. The only sound you hear is nature and the river. The host is quick to respond if you have any questions. The yard is small so that that may be an issue for some people however there are many recreation activities available with a short drive of the place. The cabin is an excellent value for the money. If you want a clean, comfortable and relaxing vacation spot that won't break the bank this is definitely a place to check out.

Very comfortable place to relax! Everything you need is there. Very clean and tidy! No cable/satellite. But had other options to use on TV. The river is stunning from the deck. Master bed is very comfortable! Furniture in livingroom was comfortable too. Will definitely rent again in the future! Loved it!!

The cabin is in a nice quiet area and the river behind it is the highlight. We spent most of our time on the deck eating, talking and playing games. The inside is nice and has everything you need and easy to find due to the labels on the drawers and cabinets. The beds are a bit too soft for my taste and this time of year a fan would be nice to keep the air moving in the second bedroom. Also be aware if you like a dark room don’t pick the second bedroom, all of the internet equipment is in there and it has a really bright glow.My only negative concern is the price for the time of year(mid July) it’s off season considering Mt. Hood is known for its skiing and snow parks. I personally think 150 per night is more reasonable. If it was remodeled/updated the price might be worth it.I would definitely recommend this place and the host is very responsive.

Family getaway

The Rauch cabin was a very peaceful place to stay during our visit from California. Everything was easy and seamless, from booking to directions. The kitchen was well stocked and labeled and the deck was the perfect place to enjoy coffee in the morning.

The property was easy to get to and well equipped. We enjoyed how quaint and cozy the house was. The view was very beautiful, often we would either be on the back deck or inside with the door open with the screen. We could easily see staying there again.

Charming retreat right next to the river. It was lovely to listen to the river as I drank my coffee. I imagine in the summer it’s even better. We cooked a Thanksgiving meal and the home was stocked with everything we could possibly need to cook with. The home is well kept and clean. The communication with owner was quick and clear.

A family second home for over 30 years, we are all busy guys so we love to rent it out to others.

What makes this property unique

A great, cozy, comfortable house, great year round. In the winter, there is nothing better than sitting by the wood stove and reading or playing games or watching a movie - unless it's the summer when it's hard to beat sitting on the deck right above the Salmon River and watching and listening as it goes by; with a great view of the tree covered mountains across the river. Very peaceful and comfortable for a short or long getaway. And all the activity you could wish for within miles: golf, hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, and more.
