About this property
Peaceful, Bright & Perfectly Located in the Heart of Fairfax
Welcome to your Fairfax getaway — a peaceful, light-filled home just steps from downtown’s vibrant charm. This inviting property features two comfortable queen bedrooms, a sunny living room with a Pottery Barn sofa bed, a dedicated home office with Wi-Fi and a second monitor, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with everything you need for memorable meals. The bathroom includes a bidet and bathtub for a touch of luxury. Whole-house A/C keeps you cool in summer, and every room has top-down/bottom-up cordless shades for privacy and light control.
Walk Everywhere, Explore Everywhere
Park your car in the driveway (room for one vehicle) or take advantage of free on-street parking — you won’t need it much! Fairfax’s best is at your doorstep: the renowned Good Earth grocery store, indie movie theater, handmade waffle-cone ice cream at Scoop, two live music venues, unique local shops, and dozens of excellent restaurants. On Wednesdays, stroll three minutes to Peri Park for the farmers market under the redwoods.
Adventure Awaits
Outdoor enthusiasts will love that world-class mountain biking and hiking trails start less than a mile away at Deer Park. Explore the beauty of Samuel P. Taylor State Park for hiking, picnics, or camping. For a perfect day trip, head to Limantour Beach or enjoy wood-fired pizza at Café Reyes. San Francisco and Oakland airports are just an hour away, and the SMART train and SF ferries are a quick 5-minute walk via nearby bus stop.
Relax in Comfort
The primary bedroom offers space for yoga on new red oak floors, while the second queen bedroom doubles as a workspace. Both provide ample storage, including a cedar closet in one. The living room is ideal for reading, chatting, or sipping local wine. The sofa bed sleeps one adult or two kids comfortably. Preschool-age children and older are welcome.
Outdoor Living
Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch bench or at the granite café table in the front garden. In the fully fenced back garden, relax with a glass of wine surrounded by flowers, fruit trees, and a vegetable garden. Fire up the propane grill and dine alfresco under the umbrella after a day of exploring.
