Four bedroom home for rent by night or week in the town of Wellsboro. Each bedroom has its own queen bed and two have a twin bed. All four bedrooms have air conditioner. Living area has a gas fireplace, TV, WiFi and wood stove. Patio in the backyard also has a fire pit along with a grill. The house is stocked with all the kitchen supplies to cook your own meals. Only a few blocks from historic down town full of restaurants, bars, and shopping. Only a few miles from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, where there is hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, rafting, biking etc

Thr host was amazingly accommodating. We came in for one night, with a pet. For a funeral. And this house was a much needed oasis amid a difficult weekend for us.I am grateful for this space and the hospitality of thr host.

The upstairs bathroom shower has black mold on the seams. There is a handle in the shower wall that has been missing for at least 2 years. The shower insert really needs to be replaced.Grab bars are needed because the shower floor gets slippery.Other than that it was fine.

Excellent location in Wellsboro, within walking distance to downtown. Adorable decorations throughout the house and plenty of sitting space, inside and outside. Loved the deer that just wander around all the time. Would stay here again if we revisit.

Our large family has enjoyed staying at the Highland House twice this year. We love the house which easily accommodates all of us for sleeping arrangements, family meals and game time. The younger kids had their own space while the adults were able to relax and spend time together. And we love walking through Wellsboro. Shannon has always been very helpful and accessible.

This house was perfect for us. So roomy and comfortable. Easily walkable into town from the house. It is a very relaxing area and there is plenty to do at the home itself. The home owner gives you plenty of items to make your stay perfect. Do not liaten to the bad reviews because im glad i didn't! This was the best home I've rented and i will definitely be back.

We were disappointed to find the outside of the house a mess. The grass was a foot high. We couldn’t use the yard because there was a lot of rain the week before, and it was muddy. The patio had dead leaves all over it and needed clean. The tables were black and needed washed off, so what started to be a relaxing vacation ended up being a cleanup day just to enjoy the rest of our stay. The inside of the house was decorated very nicely and seemed to be clean however the refrigerator could have used a good cleaning. Also there were a lot of huge spiders trying to make their way in the house. I feel the owner should have sprayed for spiders before renting it out. Overall I would give the house a 3 out of 10.

Nice BIG old house

Nice size property with plenty of room to spread out. One group was in the bigger sitting area watching tv while another group was in the smaller sitting are watching a different program. Nice size bedrooms and 2 shower areas were a plus.

A Happy Christmas Vacation!

We were so surprised and grateful, as the whole house was decorated for Christmas, which made it extra special for our family. The grandchildren loved the large chalkboard by the Christmas tree!

There were 3 generations of us staying in the house and all loved it. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard and watching the fireworks from the deck. We appreciated that there were multiple sitting and dining areas. We found everything as described on the site and would recommend this house to others

The house served us well for our weekend stay! We could have used some more paper towels and there were no dishwasher tabs or soap to use. Some fixing of features like the wiggly, low stairwell would be nice as well.
