Hosted by Tera Amesbury

Hi, Im Tera, welcome to our home on the Stony river. I am a Mom of many children, 3 of my very own. I moved to the Stony River in 2020 it was my dreamy forever home tucked in the woods. I loved everything., the quiet forest, the river, the animals. The cozy log home tucked in the red and white pines, on the river. The tally I got to keep every year of how many moose I would see, watching the snowshoe hare turn its winter coat, to the river otters playfully playing in the river. Lets not forget the trumpet swans that sounded their horn as they returned to the river every spring to welcome the season. I loved it all. Unfortunately, stories change, and you have to adjust your compass. My girls went off to college, one to Nashville and one to Minneapolis my son who has profound medical conditions needed more services. Our little home on the river gave him everything a boy could ask for. He widdled sticks, ran through the woods, swam, fished, kayaked, we did it all. I never wanted to feel like I didnt give him the best world I could. Services were hard to navigate from the woods, he had grown to a young man and my fears of being able to manage his medical needs and provide services werent able to be met here anymore. That led me to many months of mourning my home, as I prepared to sell. Then to finding a solutuon by exploring the idea of short term renting. One day when the time is right again, I can come back home to the Stony River. In the mean time, I would love to share this beautiful unique, quiet, experience with you. Let me know if you see any of my animals, do check the night sky for the northern lights, listen to hear if the owls are hooting to eachother in the night. There is alot to experience and capture, and alot to explore near my home. I hope you enjoy it as I do. Thank you for staying with me.
Why they chose this property
The towering pines, the animals, the glimmer of the river, the twinkling of the stars, the northern lights dancing across the northern sky, the peace of the northwoods. The abundance of lakes, trails, and places to explore and see.
