About this property

Resort Like Setting with Bay and Mountain Views

This 3,000 ft home has privacy, spacious living and 180 degree views of two bridges, the San Francisco Bay, and the Marin hills yet you're only 1.5 miles from downtown San Rafael with restaurants, music, art galleries and shops.
Five minutes to the freeway, 10 minutes to the ferry, and 25 minutes is all it takes to get to San Francisco. Or head north to explore Point Reyes, beaches, hiking. Plus it's only a 35 minute drive to the wine country for great dining and wine tasting.
The house is next to hillside open space with fantastic mountain biking and hiking trails that make it easy to stay in shape (or get in better shape) while vacationing. The gourmet kitchen is very large with an L-shaped bar where everyone gathers, and there are three outdoor patios for dining or just gazing at the views. The master bedroom and bath are spacious and complete with a Bay view. The guest bedroom with king bed has a full view of the hillside and San Rafael.. And the third bedroom with hillside views sleeps two on a queen bed. The office has french doors leading to the pool and hot tub. Complete with Wi-Fi. Fireplace and swimming pool included as well as two large screen HD tvs. Parking for two cars.
Marin is one of the most desirable areas of Northern California - come experience it!

Fantastic stay in San Rafael

We stayed for 5 nights at this house and I can’t say enough about how perfect it was. The house is on a hill and we spent a lot of time sitting on one of the many patios and porches just admiring the view. The family enjoyed the pool and nearby hiking trails. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Susan was a great host! We would definitely stay again.

Very nice place

We were in the Bay area for the Rugby 7's world cup, and a day trip to the wine country. The location of the house was perfect, very short drive to Sonoma and very quick to get into the City. The house itself was wonderful, great views, very nice decks and outdoor areas, everything you need. I particularly enjoyed the hiking in the forest just above the house, immediately adjacent. Great views, beautiful place. Would gladly stay there again.

A beautiful house in a stunning location

My husband and I, along with our son and his partner spent 8 fabulous days in this stunning house. This was the location of the final leg of our Californian adventure. The facilities and special views made it an especially enjoyable experience. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. It was certainly home from home and left us with some fantastic memories. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a base for exploring San Francisco and the surrounding area.
