Your Lake Helen adventure begins at "Our Happy Place" A 2 bedroom house Perfect for a small group, this cozy retreat features 2 queen beds and 2 futons. With amenities like Towels, Sheets, Games, Hair dryer, Iron, heating, and AC, washer/dryer, Clean and comfy guests will feel right at home. The living room offers an enjoyable space to relax after a day of exploring. We offer a work area for your computer/activity/scheduling for your next adventure, etc., Ring Doorbell surveillance camera, Push button entry for convivence for our guest. Very spacious with many extras. We are centrally located to many wonderful places such as Daytona Beach only 34 minutes to the beach, Oyster bar and grill, Crabby Joes restaurant, arcade shopping Bass pro shop, etc., New Smyrna Beach 31 minutes to the beach, Flager Ave, shopping, clubs, The Tavern, Peanuts, many restaurants, etc., Cassadaga 7 minutes, Historic Cassadaga Hotel and Restaurant, Lake Colby Park, Horse Shoe Park and Fairy Trail, etc., Orange City 7 minutes, Racing and Card Club Casino open until 12:00 a.m., many restaurant's Olive Garden, Fire on the Bayou, Dukin Donuts, etc., Deland Fl, Skydive Deland 5.7 miles. Lake Helen Volusia County Fairgrounds 5 minutes Farmers Market Wednesdays and some weekends, Lake Helen Equestrian Center 0.4miles, Lake Helen Museum 0.9 miles, Lake Helen Flea Market, Deland Flea Market 5.2 miles, Daytona Beach Flea Market 15 miles. The backyard and patio were huge and very pet friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The host was the best! There was an issue with the washer, the next day it was replaced without any interruption on our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed our time and would Recommend Our Happy Place to stay.

Overall, the home had a lot of potential to be really nice, but it wasn’t as we expected.Once we arrived, we noticed cigarette smell lingering from the moment we walked in, a few light bulbs were burnt out, the guest bathroom shower water pressure was insanely too forcefully and at one point, while the water was turned on to warm up, the hand held faucet came off its mount and literally was spaying water throughout the bathroom! Luckily, I was standing there and able to turn off the water and had to clean up all the water it dispensed and did not using that shower again.
