About this property
The Shack at Long Beach, WA
Step into a groovy getaway just outside the city limits of Long Beach, WA. The Shack at Long Beach is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath coastal pad with a far-out bonus: a detached guest house/ library/ nostalgia loft that also offers an extra space to crash. This 0.36 acre property offers plenty of privacy, and plenty of lawn for the fir babies to play as well. The cherry on top is that The Shack also has easy beach access.
Inside, it’s all about good vibes and bold design. Picture a psychedelic palette with funky patterns, mellowed out by touches of midcentury modern cool. Every corner has a story, every detail is designed to delight—it’s not just a beach house, it’s an experience.
As a graphic designer from Portland, OR, creating The Shack has been my passion project—a chance to blend my love of design, color, and playfulness into a soulful little seaside retreat. Whether you’re here to surf, stroll the longest beach, or just chill with some tunes, this spot was made to keep your trip smooth, stylish, and unforgettable.
Extra Amenities
Pool Table/ Pingpong Table - Grill - Fire Pit - Easy Beach Access
Notes about the sleeping options
The Shack has many ways to lay, but your options outside of the main bed aren’t immediately obvious. The bean bag has a full size mattress inside. Simply zip it open and lay it out. In the guest house, the two chairs on the ground level fold out to single size beds. The bed in the nostalgia loft is a Japanese style floor mattress. It is functional and I have had no problems using it, but it is far from a luxury experience.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Lucas Powers

I'm a graphic designer from Portland Oregon. I've been coming to this house for years while it was under the ownership of some family friends. They sold the property to me, and now I want to give others the opportunity to enjoy this space like I have.
Why they chose this property
The Shack is surrounded by nature, has very few neighbors and has easy beach access. Need I say more?
What makes this property unique
The Shack offers a unique vacation option that most other rentals on the coast don't. It's private, quaint, and perfect for those looking to disconnect a little bit.
