This is a lovely property. There was initially difficulty getting check in information. I needed to call the listing agent to explain my concerns. They gave me a phone number to contact the owner directly. The owner responded promptly and the instructions. All further communication was perfect. He even brought a hairdryer that was missing from the property. As for the property, it’s beautiful. As noted in the listing, it had a communal outdoor kitchen, hot and gym. This unit ( Casita A) has a private covered outdoor sitting area. Perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktail. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the bed was comfortable and the shower was wonderful.

This was the perfect stay. The grounds were quiet, the casita was clean and had everything needed for a simple stay. The amenities such as the pool and hot tub were also clean, so much space for amazing relaxation and seeing myrtle the turtle was an amazing sight to see! Definitely making this my go to place every visit to Tucson.

Everything was exactly as described and had a nice cozy feel. Quiet place with gorgeous views and right off of the Tanque Verde wash walking/biking paths. Hot tub was great after a long hike. Very functional kitchen made cooking during my stay great. Owners were very easy to get a hold of for any questions. Excited to book again next year!

We love the Casita, we stayed in A. It was perfect for having our two small dogs a little gated yard that we could sit down with them and they could do their business and sniff around. Bed was very comfortable. House was very clean thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub each night. We plan on booking the Casita again next year on our annual Tucson trip. The caretaker was quick to respond to any text or question I had.

An amazing chill spot in a neighborhood that you can tell the residents love. Very quiet with beautiful bird song and so close to dog friendly paths by the arroyo yet accessible to fantastic restaurants where our fur baby was welcome. We felt like we’d been away from reality over a month even tho it was a short weekend. Just what our fried brains needed along with some great Micheladas!!

Home away from home 10/10

Horse Thief Ranch was a perfect place to stay. We stayed in Casita A and it had everything we were looking for and more. It was a perfect homebase and central to a lot of the hiking around the area. Shower was amazing, coffee maker was instant, and the bed was so comfy. Also can't beat the mountain view from the bedroom. Kendra (owner) was fantastic with communication and we felt safe the entire time. The hot tub was so amazing after hiking all day. This location does have other rental units so at times we had to share the community items (hot tub, exercise equipment), but it was never a problem. Would stay here again and will be suggesting it to others who come to Tucson.

Tucson casita A Horse Thief Ranch

Location and access to local stores and restaurants was good. Quiet neighborhood, easy access to walking trail. Outside sitting furniture needs cleaning and repair/replacement, hot tubs dirty and in need of updating. Kitchen, living room and bedroom lights flickered constantly, kitchen lighting dim, hard to see. Used toaster and lights dimmed. Carpet was very worn, couch dirty, sagging, needs to be replaced. Bathroom floor dirty, smelled like animal feces, the whole place had a strong animal odor. Removed mattress pad, too dirty to sleep on. Quilt was torn. WiFi and dish tv were spotty at best, worse during rain showers. No instructions on how to use tv remotes, had to call host and have her talk us through resetting system. Would not recommend for the price.

Kendra and Keith are genuine, amazing, and made our stay at the Ranch memorable. The facility is homey, authentic, restful, clean, and offers an unforgettable experience. Kendra met us at the entrance and instantly made us feel at home. Keith took every opportunity to chat and show us around. Plus he was super friendly with our dog Rowdy. Anniversary Surprise!!

WOW - this place was absolutely stunning. I booked this property last minute, almost, to surprise my husband on our recent anniversary. It worked out BEAUTIFULLY!! The GH casita here at Catalina Foothills in Tuscon was very well put together. The spa tub and shower was AMAZING!! The bed was super comfortable and honestly the whole place was clean and welcoming with a well thought out design and an interior aspect that was extremely inviting. THANK YOU!!

Had the opportunity for my wife and I to stay at this gem in the desert. I would highly recommend this place. The pics don’t do it justice. Everything is extremely clean and well thought out. Plenty of parking with lots of privacy.
