Aloha Inna- thank you for your beautiful words. As stated in the listing, it is very close proximity to the sea.. North Shore beaches especially naturally have a sea-scent that some people are not used to, we understand this. That is why when you mentioned you opened all sliding doors and windows you could still smell ‘mold’ this also happens, especially after long rain periods, the rainwater from the mountains comes down to the ocean and creates a biofilm on the shoreline that also contributes to the scent. This is exactly what we mention in our description, it doesn’t happen often but once in a while it does. We apologized it occurred for you, our goal is to make sure everyone has a truly beautiful time here as 90% of our reviews reflect so. We went ahead and tested just to be safe as it is our kuliana to do so, all tests came back negative. We are happy to share them with you as well if you’d like. Mahalo Nui loa

Great home with amazing location right on a mini private beach. Beach is very swimmable and deck is great for siting and watching sunrises. There really is only one bathroom though. The second bathroom is outdoors and has no door.

The cottage was incredible! The backyard WAS the beach and there was a giant tree so you could play in the ocean without burning too much.

There were ants in the kitchen which isn't unusual for HI. There was insufficient light in the basement where the washer/dryer were. The bathroom sink drain was slow. Parking was a little dicey at times.

We loved being on the ocean and listening to the waves. Right on the water - great opportunity for snorkeling and beach glass collecting! We loved the location - convenient for exploring all areas of the island.

Beautiful! We loved the cards and puzzles, boogie boards, and beach gear left for us to use. The weights and workout gear were a nice surprise. We were there during the hurricane and lost power for three days. They were very helpful and had provided candles and a flashlight. There were many towels and washcloths for our family of six. A second bathroom would have been extremely helpful and a shower curtain and handheld shower on the outdoor shower would have been great. The bathroom is not fully private. The doors do not lock and the shower is open on the top. For a couple or one person, the bathroom would be amazing. The shower has a glass wall that looks out on the ocean.

Host was quick to respond to questions. We really liked the sliding glass wall that opens to the ocean. Beautiful place to swim and explore. Highly recommend Wiamea Falls and botanical garden that is a short drive. Bring a swim suit and swim in the falls! The famous north shore is just a few miles down the road as well.

Great place! The view from the shower is worth a million bucks. Love the homieness of the place. Well taken care of and simple. Communication was spot on and quick. Just wish I could have stayed a few more days. Be sure to add an extra day if possible. You won’t want to leave when it’s time to check out.

A hidden Gem that you will not be disappointed. The kitchen was beautifully updated and well furnished with everything you will need to make your stay comfortable. And talking about comfortable. This house has 3 bedrooms with 3 king size beds. They provided enough bath towels and beach towels for your stay. Another bonus is having a large washer and dryer. Our family of 9 had enough space to relax and play. Thou the house had one enormous bathroom with a walk-in shower, you can make it work. If not, the outside shower was new and it even had hot water. Let's talk about the outside. The spacious deck was new but beware of the falling seeds. I am saving the best for last. It was the view of the ocean. I use this phrase only when I mean it. Living like a ROCK STAR. The beach was foot steps from the your house and that ocean view. WOW! We did some fishing and our daughter wanted to catch her first O'io. Haha, she caught three. It is important for us to feel safe and this property felt safe. Night time, our grand kids got to catch huge sand crabs. I can still hear their screams and laughter. A hidden Gem that you will not be disappointed. Mahalo nui loa for making our stay-cation a fun, a SAFE and a memorable time for us all.

Whole basement smelled like poop and musty. Bathroom sink did not drain, kitchen sink barely had any water pressure making washing dishes incredibly slow. Found two cockroaches in the kitchen. The curtains and chairs in the house were moldy! Broken cabinets, broken stove knobs, broken shower knob. Hir clumps in the bed when we arrived. No extra bedding, no ironing board ass it was broken, no privacy in the bathroom! the bathroom was an open room and everyone could hear you. Beautiful location but man you can try a bit harder, as a host myself this was deplorable.

This cottage was absolutely perfect for our family. Tucked away in such a peaceful spot on this private beach, it felt secluded and cozy, but still close enough to everything we wanted to do like the Polynesian culture center. House was clean, new furniture you could tell it was just renovated - had extra blankets and a little coffee setup in the morning. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, a seal, and a turtle right from the patio! At night the stars are crazy we spent most dinners outside and mornings listening to the ocean with our coffee. The beds were super comfy, we slept better here than at home!! Host was really nice, they made sure we had everything we needed and were thorough. Honestly wish we booked more nights — we’ll definitely be back next time we're in Oahu!

Let's first start with the change of address the night before our check-in time. That was a red flag for me as the ad had one address, and the location address was different. I was told this was for security reasons. That would have been a second red flag, if I'd known that from day one. We entered this unit to a horrible dank moldy smell. The walls were dirty. The chairs and couch were dirty I immediately called the host and was told that this place had 10 out of 10 reviews .The host did not appear to take my concerns seriously. I advise the host. I would not sleep in this place if it was the last place on Earth. Demanded a full refund and I was laughed at.

The house itself was nice and well kept, and looked just like the photos. The property is right up on the beach just a few feet away, you can hear the waves crashing from the living room. The property has 3 good sized bedrooms and accommodated our family of 7 just fine. On our check-in day, we were told a few hours in advance that they had a late check-out or something, and so check-in would be delayed 1 hour. That was no problem. We got to the house and the cleaner was still there and so in the end, we were delayed a little over 2 hours, however they said they will refund us a portion for the delay.Unfortunately during our stay, we experienced a water leak issue that woke us up in the middle of the night, and that ended up cutting our stay short. The owner was in regular communication with us throughout the day and was attentive to the situation, which I appreciated. At that point, we had already left the property but he let us know that the issue would be fixed the same day if we wished to return, but we opted to just end our stay early. They have agreed to refund a portion of our booking, which I felt was a fair amount. I did feel satisfied in how they handled the issue.

This was our first time in Oahu and all we wanted was to be able to walk right out the back door and be on the beach. That’s exactly what we got! Ocean and beach front! We loved the space in the basement for our 4 teenagers and overall just enjoyed the whole house!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! It was clean, very spacious, and had awesome views. The location was also a plus, it was close to all the north shore food trucks, Kualoa ranch and the Polynesia culture center.
