Quaint Country Cottage Offering Quiet Escape Off The Beaten Path

To say this 1950's house is sporting a fresh coat of paint would be an understatement. There has been a complete remodel which includes changes such as new flooring, kitchen counter tops, marble walk-in shower, and new lighting. Brand new furniture came along for the ride including custom tables in the living room and custom beds (queen in one room, two twins in another). The house sits on a beautiful 5 acre property, which is excellent for relaxing.

Now with free Wi-Fi! Perfect for those occasions when you need to check in while getting away.

Grote Road is located about 10 miles outside of Brenham, Texas. Nearby events and activities include:

Everything was great! We could tell it was a work in progress. It was difficult for 3 women to get ready in the morning with one bathroom mirror with a light. We made it work. Just a suggestion. Very clean.

Country Charm

Quaint, Clean and Quiet!

Communication and check-in super easy. Loved the OJ and eggs. Property was very clean and well stocked. It would be great to have a all purpose cleaner for guest to use.

Great Place and Great Host

The house is updated and clean, and is a wonderful place to spend time. The location is peaceful and provides the opportunity to enjoy being out in the country. But Angie really stood apart because she stocked the house with cooking supplies, games, food, and drinks that allowed us to really enjoy our time at the house. She provided more than a typical rental and it made our stay really enjoyable.

It is an older property, as we knew, that is very clean and cozy. The hostess left wine, water, snacks, and fresh eggs, all very hospitable, the plus to the house. We slept very well. The water pressure in the bathroom is weak. There is no dishwasher.

Peaceful house in the country

This rental was so dreamy! It’s a little house in the country and the drive to it is beautiful, there’s little rolling hills and we were there in march so there was flowers blooming. It’s a spacious little house and the property and surrounding area is so peaceful. The owner is so thoughtful she supplied snacks, coffee, fresh fruit, fresh eggs, wine, water, and orange juice and champagne for mimosas! We were so relaxed being there I just wanna go back just to enjoy the area again!

Country home away from home

We have stayed in many Vacation rentals in our 41 years of marriage but never have we stayed in a “ rental home “. This lovely country “ home” felt like “ our home” the moment we pulled in the drive way and the second we opened the door. Entering the door and seeing snacks on the counter and fruit on the table made our grand children feel grandma was ready for our visit. After our grandkids had fallen asleep we relaxed with a glass of wine thanks to our host leaving a treat for the adults as well. We loved the lovely country setting and hope to come back “home” for another visit soon! We highly recommend this host Angie! Sincerely, Mr and Mrs Clark

Lovely as advertised

The property description was spot on -- this is off the traditional Brenham beaten path and exactly what we were looking for to unplug and unwind a couple days. Our stay, which included our dog, was brief but quite enjoyable. We've stayed in various rentals within the USA and abroad and this might be the most pleasant and surprising welcome. Check in was easy and exactly as stated. Kitchen was unexpectedly well stocked with water, juice, snacks, and a couple other surprises. House is cozy but easily spacious enough for our needs. Yard boasts 5 acres and our dog enjoyed the freedom. We rarely saw traffic up and down the road but note: if your dog wanders or bolts you'll need to be careful as the property is a bit more lateral than deep. Our dog was just fine.

Quiet and comfortable

A cozy place to rest your head after a long day of shopping in Round Top. Not too far from all the action & a beautiful drive through country roads with lots of wild flowers.

Peaceful Getaway

This property was beautiful! Surrounded by pastures and big beautiful trees. Gorgeous scenery especially if you like sitting out on the patio and taking in the view. Inside was completely remodeled, very clean and well kept. The hostess thought of everything for your stay from a large assortment of coffees to travel size shampoo, conditioners and soap. When interacting with the hostess she was very accommodating and quick to respond. We had a wonderful experience and I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!!

Convenient to Round Top. There were 3 women who stayed in the location. Host even provided us a bottle of wine, fresh eggs, waters and snacks.

Lovely and Relaxing

Enjoyed the very quiet neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised to find Juice and Eggs in refrigerator. This was so helpful to us as we were so exhausted from a busy day. Snacks and wine were such a kind touch from the host. The house was very clean and comfortable for us and met our needs.

Relaxing retreat!

After a fun-filled day of treasure hunting with friends, this little quaint cottage was a perfect place to relax. Angie was very responsive. The house was very clean and just as described with sweet touches.
