It was perfect for 3 girls on a mission for the best finds at Marburger. Convenient to the show! Thoughtfully, and well stocked. It was charming with beautiful surroundings. The value for the was excellent. Have this on my favorite list for future Round Top Antique shows.
Lovely country location and clean home. Enjoyed the Antique Rose Emporium and Fraziers Statuary. The queen bed was not very comfortable for two people because it sunk in the middle. The host was hospitable in providing a few snacks and drinks for you to enjoy.
My daughters and I had such a wonderful relaxing time! The home is clean, neat and all the accommodations that you need have been thought of. We will be back soon!
This place is so cute and quiet. Very remote and cozy - just like the listing says. Upon arrival we were greeted with a VERY NEEDED bottle of wine and snacks! After a long day at Round Top, we were looking forward to relaxing and we got all we wanted and more! The owners have thought of everything! Amenities in the bathroom, extra blankets, a lamp to take outside at night (it's wicked dark in the middle of nowhere!), bottled water in the fridge, books, games, movies, everything you could possibly need in a kitchen, a chimnea outside for a little fire, deck furniture, wonderful AC, ceiling fans in each room, and even a first aid kit (which we needed)! The entire home is spotless. Beds are super comfy, Host is very responsive. We couldn't ask for anything else! Plus, you get the beauty of a zillion stars at night because it's so dark! When we woke up, there were a bunch of cows in the field behind the property who were so friendly! We give this lovely rental 10 stars! Will definitely be back!
Angie was a wonderful host, and we truly enjoyed our stay. While the location may feel remote to some, it was actually very meaningful for me. I grew up visiting New Ulm regularly, and this area brought back a lot of special memories—it even reminded me of my great-grandparents’ place. It’s also conveniently located less than 15 minutes from Brenham, which made it easy to get to the stores. The home itself is a cozy two-bedroom, one-bath and had everything we needed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like snacks, paper plates, and most of all, the bottle of wine waiting for us. After a long drive from the Lake Jackson area, that small gesture made a big difference. We traveled with my husband, mom, daughter, and our two senior dogs, and it was a perfect fit for all of us. The yard worked great for the dogs—we didn’t have any issues with them wandering off—and the outdoor lighting at night was very helpful, especially for arriving late.We were in town for a family reunion in nearby Bleiblerville, and the location made it easy to access Brenham and Belleville. I would recommend staying at least three nights if you can, just to give yourself time to truly relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. It even rained while we were there, and listening to the rain at night added to the calm, restful atmosphere.
A cozy place to rest your head after a long day of shopping in Round Top. Not too far from all the action & a beautiful drive through country roads with lots of wild flowers.
