About this property

Boho Bungalow in the mix of East Austin

A bohemian safe place in the middle of E.Austin. Walk, bike or scooter everywhere East Austin· art · High & Low dives · Day & nightlife · Charm of Inner City Living. You can stay less than a month but must book for 30+ days at a time.

The primary offers a king bed with an attached bathroom. The attached bathroom has a commode, sink, and claw foot soaking tub/shower. The master also has direct access to a huge screened outdoor living area. 2nd bedroom offers a queen bed, and backroom offers a futon. Please note that the backroom also houses the washer and dryer. We do not have a laundry room due to the age of the home.

About the primary- Large, sun-filled room with access to a large closet and armoire. The primary bath has a claw foot soaking tub for after all the fun-filled days in Austin.

2nd bedroom- queen with access to an armoire. Large windows face the front of the home. Curtains can black out the light for those who had way too much fun the night before.

Office- this is a flex space for those who need a home office, and extra sleeping space. The office has a barn door for privacy, a sleeper sofa, a small floating desk with stool, and a washer and dryer are available for your use.

The custom-designed kitchen is large and open to the living area. The refrigerator is a top-load refrigerator is Kitchen-aid. The hidden drawer dishwasher is Fisher and Paykel, and the gas cooktop from the 1930's is O'Keefe and Merritt. This baby is amazing! You can use, 4 burners and the griddle all at the same time. We ask that all oven use is through the counter-top Black & Decker, which toasts, broils, and bakes. The Black & Decker can cook pizza's, cookies, meats, and bakes. Basically, anything you'd like! We are happy to meet you in person to show you how to use the oven if you must use it.

The best part of the home is the location. You can stay in the neighborhood and have a great time! Guests can walk to the end of the block and get a cup of coffee from Figure 8. They can also walk 5 blocks to the East and find themselves on Webberville Road which has an amazing dive pub called Gourmands, a new restaurant called Cavalier, and a friendly biker bar called Lost Well. If you're looking for an experience, this is it!
Let's talk about heading West towards DT. This is also a great walk. We're just over a mile from the Capitol (Which you can see the top of from our street) and hit some shopping, eateries, yoga studios, food trucks, and local shopping. East 11th street holds some great places to hit, so you may find that you never made it DT. Some of the fun places to hit are Nickel City, 11th hotel, Blue Dahlia, Old Thousand, Quickie Pickie, and Farmacy.

If you decide to head North to 12th and Chicon you can get some Mezcal at King Bee; a coffee or beer at Rio Rita or maybe hit the skeeball bar and see how good you are at skeeball! Make your way up to MLK for a juice at Juice Land or look in the corner of the development and walk into a cool bar called The Wheel.

Maybe you're thinking South? We got you covered!
Walk down Chicon and hit the local butcher, Salt & Time, You can eat in or take away. Take a stroll just one block from there to stop at Whisler's for a drink and grub at EastSide Kings. If you truly want to get a taste of the mass building and changes in Austin, take a right on 6th and head to Liberty Bar. Stand outside and look at the building and then look at everything around. Whoa! This place is changing. Some good, some bad, but it's a bit of history that you'll want to see.

I think you now have an idea of what's around. If you need more suggestions, just let me know and I can point you in the right direction! Cheers and enjoy our beautiful City!

Mike and I co-own a Pub with our family in East Austin. This area of town has been awesome to live in. We are able to ride our bikes everywhere, walk to restaurants and bars, and can get in and out of downtown in a few minutes.

We love traveling to different countries and always book through Airbnb. There is an amazing community that comes together and learns about different cultures and lifestyles through travel. We find that staying at someone else’s home is a perfect way to submerge into the life of a neighborhood, countryside or city.

Austin is one of the best places to live in. East Austin is urban, eclectic, diverse, and by far the best area of town to stay and submerge into the culture. We’d love to share our living experience with you. Please email any questions. We’re always excited and ready to help!
