We had a fabulous stay with our 3 young adult children and their partners. Close to village to keep them entertained and hot tub was a good feature. Ski out to lift was perfect. Loved my master room!!
Great location within walking distance of the village. The kitchen was well-equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Private hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of hiking or golf. I would definitely rent this property again.
We have stayed in several units at Crystal Forest over the years. We had a great stay, overall.
This unit had a few items that could use some updating (patio chairs, overly large dining table that makes dining room quite squishy, mattress in primary not super comfortable), but overall minor.
We had a small issue at check-in with a broken parkade key, but Bear Country dealt with it within minutes - very impressed.
Very well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies and entertainment. Hottub was immaculate. Unit is in a lovely, peaceful location on the Village trail - great stay!
The property itself is just fine. Nice place - a little small for 6 people - 4 is perfect. The problem is the house is falsely advertised by property management company as ski in/ski out. This is NOT a ski in/out property. I was wandering around wondering - where was the ski hill!! If you have kids that have ski lessons you are DRIVING them to the main ski hill! There is no mountain out the door. I don't know why people can't tell the truth. What there is however is a walking pathway. One direction is the Village but it's way too far in ski boots. The other way is down a flat path - which is also a drag to walk in your boots probably 200 yrs - then you are putting on your boots and skiing the last part of a run to get to a chair lift. Then you are at an auxiliary lift and have to help the kids learn to navigate and teach them how to get back home. Bummer kids can't walk out the door and ski. If you are a nordic skier the location is great cause this chair lift exists at the site of the Nordic Center - this lift is nice cause it's the only one allowed for Nordic that takes you to upper part of the trail - great ski down.
All was very good. The only two items why we did not give full marks were:
The place was not ready at 4 pm when we arrived. We had to wait until 4:30 to get access. I realize that you may be short staffed and the representative was very nice, but we did anticipate to have access to the unit as of 4 pm.
Second, the Wifi password provided was incorrect. We emailed about this, but it took a relatively long time, I believe almost 2 hours, before we go a reply. In the meantime we resolved it with trial and error to find that there was one extra character in the password provided. A faster reply would have been appreciated.
Other than that, it was a wonderful place and we had a great time. We will be back again another year.
