Thistle Do Good is an upscale 4BR mountain cabin in a cozy, convenient spot on Beech Mountain—less than 2 miles to Ski Beech, the golf course, Tennis & Pickleball Center, and the community pool. Trailheads are nearby, and Banner Elk’s restaurants and shops are ~7 miles down the mountain.

Main Level
Open kitchen (granite, custom cabinets, stainless appliances, bar for 4), dining table for 6 (extensions in primary closet), and a great room with vaulted T&G ceilings, wall of windows, stone wood-burning fireplace, and QLED Smart TV. Half bath on this level.
Primary King Suite with Smart TV, walk-in closet, granite vanity, oversized soaking tub, and frameless tiled shower.

Upper Level
Queen bedroom; Full bedroom with Smart TV and cozy window seat (kid-friendly nap spot); full hall bath; loft with desk and twin sleeper loveseat.

Lower Level

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please put all trash in the bins provided, making sure the containers are closed and secured.
Winter, turn thermostat down to 60 degrees. (Do NOT turn off the heat or the hot tub!) Summer, turn thermostat up to 80 degrees.
Please close and lock all windows and doors, and ensure the hot tub cover is on.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We had an incredible stay at your beautiful cabin in Beech Mountain. We loved the views from every window in the house. This cabin is perfect for large families, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and felt like home. Nick was a great host. We would definitely recommend this vacation spot!

The host was great; he always had quick response time and tried to resolve my problems. The view was beautiful and the house was lovely. My kids and grandkids had a blast . The only reason I'm not giving it a five star is because the weekend we were there the hot tub was not working correctly. That was one of the reasons we booked this particular house but as a pool owned I understand that things just happen. We would definitely stay there again.

The host was exceptional and made sure that our stay was perfect. The host communicated well and went above and beyond when one of the amenities was not available. The house was perfect for what we needed. There were five of us and there was plenty of space to relax and not be on top of each other. The basement was a fun place to spend the evening playing pool and watch the Olympics on tv. Beech mountain was five minutes away and with it being that close it gave the crew the opportunity to come back to the house for lunch and get back on the slopes quickly. Four wheel drive is very important in the winter. The driveway is steep and was covered with snow and ice. It’s a tricky one to maneuver.

We absolutely LOVE the long-range views. Sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee hearing nothing but the birds and the breeze is a heaven-on-earth experience. Plus you are right near everything Beech Mountain has to offer!
