About the host

Host profile image
I am a sustainability professional, waste nerd, and UMass Amherst lifer (undergrad, grad, and staffer). I came to the area in 2001 for college and never left. My husband owns a masonry business and we've both been spending time at Lake Wyola for over 20 years. Western MA is great and this particular area has lots to offer whether you are looking for a great dinner out, arts/culture events, family activities, or just some quality time with the fam on the lake or surrounding trails.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood of Lake Wyola is particularly sweet and welcoming. We are on a quiet dead end road with friendly year round neighbors. You cannot beat the energy of the lake year round, which ranges from active and lively in the summer to calm and restorative in the winter. The nearby Leverett Co-op is impressively well-stocked with quality food and necessities and Amherst is just a short 20-minute drive down the hill.

What makes this property unique

The expansive views of the lake from nearly all rooms, wrap-around deck, and the master suite are unmatched. Colorful murals throughout the home surprise and delight.. Especially in the master-bedroom, which offers an immersive rainforest experience! The showers (with amazing water pressure) and luxury fixtures are also a real treat.
