This Vrbo is located in a quiet family neighborhood. There is a park within one block. All of the yards, including the Vrbo are beautifully manicured. During our stay we had access to garage parking. The highlight of this stay was meeting our newest granddaughter.

This was one of those situations where you get what you pay for, and the price was very reasonable. That said, when we arrived, it appeared the lawn had not been maintained for at least a month. We also found several maintenance and cleanliness issues throughout the home. The couch was being held together underneath with boards and tape, the downstairs toilet had a noticeable ring, and there were multiple small oversights that affected the overall experience. After specifically asking whether there was a gas BBQ and being told there was, we instead found an old charcoal grill in the overgrown backyard. There were also burnt-out light bulbs, loose handrails, closed vents, and a lack of washcloths. Individually these were minor, but together they made the home feel less cared for than expected. Addressing these details would go a long way toward improving future guests’ stays. On the positive side, the house itself was nice and spacious, with plenty of room for my large family, which we appreciated. The location was convenient and close to the activities we were in town for, and it was easy to find and access. Having garage parking was also a nice bonus. Check-in and check-out were simple and convenient, and we appreciated being able to use a door code instead of coordinating key pickup.

The home was dirty. Floors looked as though they weren’t mopped or cleaned in any way. Walls, doors, baseboards, vents all need thorough cleaning. There was garbage under furniture, stuff spilled under the bed and on the floor. The owner sent the cleaner back while I was there which was awkward but I pointed out many things that weren’t cleaned. She cleaned some of it… I showed her places on the wall where stuff was spilled/dripping down the wall. She left it and told me she didn’t have time to clean everything between each guest. The kitchen was not equipped to host ten of us as advertised. We save money as a large family by cooking at the homes we rent. The kitchen didn’t have enough forks, spoons, plates… so one. We had to eat in shifts and wash things by hand to make it work. We ran out of toilet paper and had to buy some as well. Location was great and we felt safe in the home and neighborhood. It’s too bad that the cleanliness wasn’t there or cared for because it could be a great place.
