Originally built in 1970, this distinctive coastal property holds a meaningful place in the local history. For decades, it served as a well-known commercial space, home to beloved businesses such as Nags Head Hammocks, Baby Daddy Buggy & Scooter Rentals, and the Hatteras Island Design Center, all of which flourished within these walls. Its presence made it a familiar and memorable landmark for both residents and visitors alike.

In 2023, the building was thoughtfully remodeled and updated for residential use, blending its historic roots with modern comforts. While the interior was reimagined with an open-concept layout and contemporary touches, great care was taken to preserve the property’s unique coastal architecture. Original cedar accents—native to this region—remain a defining feature, honoring the craftsmanship and character that have long defined the space.

After being privately enjoyed following its renovation, the home begins its next chapter in 2025 as a vacation rental, welcoming guests to become part of its evolving story. This is more than a place to stay—it is a space shaped by decades of coastal life, creativity, and community. Guests are invited not only to relax and enjoy the home, but to contribute to its ongoing history by sharing their own beachside experiences as new memories are made here.
