With a breakfast bar and wide open living area, you can be sure to have lasting family moments together. Have your cameras ready to capture the changing tides, wildlife and those crazy family moments that are sure to happen in this lovely home. Grandview offers every amenity from a screened porch, an open deck, long pier with a dock, ceiling fans throughout, wireless internet and much much more! This home also includes the use of 2 bicycles and 2 kayaks.

Spring break getaway

This was a perfect getaway spot for spring break. Our dog loved being able to swim everyday and we were able to kayak thanks to the availability at the house. Beautiful views, especially sunsets.

Great vacation for extended family from ages 4 to 73! The weather was great...even watched storm coming in over the bay. Only negative was prolific mosquitoes. Would highly recommend Grandview as your home base for a vacation in Chincoteague!

Great Views and room for everyone

Beautiful home with plenty of room. Views of the Bay were wonderful. Dock was nice to park my pontoon on. I would advise to clean the ceiling fans and the HVAC cold air returns.

Amazing Stay

We had such an amazing time during our Mother/Daughter weekend. This house was perfect for the 4 of us. We all had our own room and bathroom. We enjoyed every aspect of Grandview. The best part was watching an amazing sunset to then watching a 2 1/2 hour thunderstorm across the bay that eventually hit us. It was phenomenal! Thank you for opening your home up to us. We are already talking about going back next year and making this a tradition!

Fantastic House

This is a fabulous house with a gorgeous view. The house is big and spread out so everyone can have his/her own private area as well as large, airy, and luxurious communal spaces to hang out in together. Everything is clean and comfortable. There are two bedroom/bathroom suites on the first floor, which is perfect for those who cannot walk upstairs. The kitchen is modern, well-equipped, and part of the large common space on the first floor. The huge glass windows looking out on the bay give a stunning view, as do the deck and screened-in porch. It's a perfect place to relax and feel away from it all.

Lovely Home

The finest rental I've stayed at in Chincoteague over the course of seven years! Waking up to that Bay view was incredible – on a clear day we could see Virginia across the water. The property itself is beautiful and well cared for. Landscaping around the house is lovely and the dock was well maintained. One can easily drive, bike, even walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Sunsets from the dock were exceptional! Highly recommend!

The home is beautiful and the view cannot be beat,it's so relaxing. Our grandchildren spent time in the water with their"Pops," and we cooked our meals and ate together as a family in the spacious kitchen. There are so many activities for every age...fishing, kayaking,and swimming just to name a few. Looking forward to our visit again next July.

This is our second time at Grandview. It’s such a great place for a family to be together. We love the dock for crabbing and the sunsets are beautiful! The kayaks are a plus also. The service was excellent too we had a totally broken screen door and we called and the door was replaced the same day thanks to Charlie! We hope to return again.

Perfect Chincoteague location

We've been coming to Chincoteague for about 5 years — staying in all kinds or properties: B&Bs, hotels, rental homes. This may be our single favorite spot. The house is on the bay, facing west toward the mainland. The view from the great room / kitchen is unbeatable. This is a quiet part of the island. Nice walking and biking. A bit of the ride to stores / restaurants. This home has a great porch, very well-equipped kitchen, and really easy to access & easy to use kayaks. Well-maintained and immaculate. Small bonus for a rental home: The pillows on the beds are really nice quality.

Grandview was an excellent property with all the amenities needed. Nice to have the bikes and kayaks as well! Everything was cleaned and ready for our arrival on time and we were contacted several times to check and make sure everything was ok. Appreciate the dog friendly nature. Great secluded part of the island for walks and runs. Will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our overall experience with this property was very positive. WE were there with extended family for a reunion week. The kitchen was very well stocked and the home was beautiful. The owners also included great extras, such as bikes and kayaks. Being pet friendly was also a big plus. Our only issues was that the property needed a good below surface cleaning. As an example, the air conditioning vents and ceiling fans blades were quite dusty. The exposed floors were clean, but the surfaces under the furniture were quite dusty. We also had a problem with raccoons getting into the screen room and eating some of our dry goods on our first night. They also went into the garbage bins, which were not in the enclosed corral when we arrived.

It has so much to offer the dock for crabbing, kayaks to use and the most beautiful sunsets. It has everything you need in the kitchen for cooking or just ordering in. The customer service was excellent our screen door was broke and they came the same day and replaced it thanks to Charlie. We love the restaurants especially The Village, food trucks, Island Creamery and Mr. Whippy. We also went to the water park, biking, miniature golf, go carts, bumping water boats, and the beach. I highly recommend this vacation rental for a large family. We hope to return in 2 years.
