Had a great 40th birthday celebration with my family. Stayed 2 nights first evening went out to dinner and the second evening we grilled and made dinner at the house and played pool and all the games in the garage. Everything in the house was decorated so nice and all the bathrooms were very nice.

I can't say enough about this property. Great area for family gathering, outdoor and gameroom was a lot of fun. The owners have impeccable style and taste. Felt so comfortable, like we were home! Parking area was large enough for all of us. We will definitely book it again!

Hauber House is a great location for exploring Fredricksburg and the surrounding wineries and restaurants. It has been lovingly and beautifully renovated with all the amenities anyone could need. Highly recommend staying there!

Treff, a native of Fredericksburg, and Kerinne, was raised in West, TX. We are both active in the real estate market as Treff is a Broker at CC HErber Co., Real Estate and Kerinne is the SVP of Real Estate for Capital Farm Credit.

Herber Haus holds special significance for us—a property we couldn't part with when we moved to our country place. To ensure it remains accessible to our extended family and friends, and to make it financially viable, we chose to re-enter the short-term rental business. This decision allows us to preserve the home where we raised our children and shared countless memories. Previously, we owned and operated Althaus Suites and Kerinne's Cottage for 12 years before deciding to sell them.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this charming historic home in anticipation of our first child. It needed significant renovation, and we thoroughly enjoyed two major remodels to bring it to its current state. After 21 years and raising five kids here, we've now moved to the country. We've lovingly updated the home with modern amenities and hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

What makes this property unique

Our home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, just 6 blocks from Main Street. We cherished our evening strolls to Main St, whether for a treat at Clear River or to admire the shop windows. Conveniently close to the Nimitz Museum, restaurants, boutique shopping and Marketplatz.

The kids delighted in playing kickball and football in the spacious backyard. While Treff and I cherished relaxing on the patio by the firepit. The front porch was our favorite spot for reading, swaying gently on the swing.
