The -D- Casita (Bar D Bar) This rare family homestead, founded in 1912 and farmed ever since, is a special place like no other. When you visit, you will have the pleasure of experiencing the magical, wide-open spaces of the Texas Panhandle, crisp, clean air, and the much-needed slower pace of country life. You'll be able to sit on the 360° wraparound porch and watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening, all while living luxuriously. Pack your bags, this one-of-a-kind experience awaits.

We loved this property! Very peaceful and secluded. If you wanna get away from it all for a few days - this is the perfect place. The cottage was decorated with attention to every detail. Even though it has a bit of a rustic vibe, it is still quite luxurious. The bathroom was enormous and had a huge stand alone tube and a shower that was like a spa! The porch wraps around the entire cottage with places to sit to watch sunrise on one side of the house and sunset on the other. Bring food, not many dining options. Would definitely stay again!Very charming.

Unfortunately we only booked for one night because we were traveling through. Words can’t describe how wonderful the Casita is. It will be the blue print for our new home. Every little detail for comfort was thought of. Very comfortable and down home easy. Hosts are very nice. Got to meet and Visit with Mr. Dobmeier. It’s a small world, ive met his sons through work. We’ll go back and stay just to relax.
